I’ve been saying for a while that Solet was never a guaranteed fit. Inter need a true central defender more than forcing Solet or Akanji into that role. I’m glad the board realized it. I rate Chalobah, but I still think Inter should be aiming for a better center-back.

They might come and succeed, but honestly these aren’t the kind of signings that excite me.

We passed on Ndoye when he was there for the taking and in great form, and now that he’s a bench player at Nottingham, suddenly we want him again for basically the same price.

As for Cambiaso, I’m not convinced at all, especially with Juventus’ ridiculous demands.

The options are very limited. The sensible move is a decent right wingback, then invest the real money in Nico Paz and a defender. Anything else and we’re probably looking at another disappointing transfer window.

Honestly, I hope he arrives. If Inter have already reached €50M, that should be the limit. He’s still young, plays as a wing-back, and has only had one standout season. No one knows if he can maintain that level. A €50M offer is more than fair. Now we wait and see.
