Fiorentina sign Dragusin!

🫡 Fiorentina have completed an important signing for their defense. Radu Dragusin is returning to Serie A after his spell at Tottenham, and Fabrizio Romano has already given his famous "Here we go." The deal is a loan with an obligation to buy.

After an excellent spell at Genoa, Dragusin moved to Tottenham, but he never managed to become a regular starter in England. Now he has chosen Fiorentina to get his career back on track and become a key player again.

🔥 He is a very physical defender, strong in tackles and excellent in the air. Despite his size, he is also quite quick and has already shown that he can perform at a high level in Serie A.

⚔️ This is a top signing for Fiorentina. The Viola were looking for a reliable centre back and decided to sign a player who already knows Italian football and still has plenty of room to improve. Dragusin now hopes to reach the level he showed during his time at Genoa.

Allegri all'ombra del Vesuvio

Michele Di Gregorio Agency on Instagram: "The French Juventus board spent 130 million on three strikers, who were unwatchable, and to cover this insane expenditure, they pinned the blame for the season’s failure entirely on the goalkeeper signed by the previous board"

Di Gregorio's agent puts Juventus mgnmt on full blast

The goalkeeper's agent took to Instagram to harshly attack the Old Lady:

"20 new players in two seasons, 3 coaches in 2 seasons, 3 managements in 2 seasons. These are the numbers that make the real difference. Di Gregorio finishes fourth in the Sofascore rankings; ahead of M. Savic and Sommer, the league winner and runner-up. The French management spent €130 million on three unpresentable forwards. To cover the crazy spending, they blamed the season's failure entirely on the goalkeeper, bought by the previous management in person by Sporting Director C. Giuntoli. As the best goalkeeper in Serie A at 26 years old. Goals conceded: Juventus 34 - Inter 35. Goals scored: Juventus 61 - Inter 82. There's no point in talking. Di Gregorio has a three-year contract with Juventus. He'll leave for a retreat, and during the transfer window, we'll explore any opportunities.

Venezia strengthen their squad: Thierry Correia joins the club.

🫡 Venezia have completed another signing. Thierry Correia is ready to wear the orange and green shirt after an agreement was reached with Valencia. The deal is now complete, with only the official announcement still missing.

Correia arrives after several seasons in La Liga, where he gained plenty of experience with Valencia. Despite some injury problems in recent months, Venezia strongly believe in his qualities.

🔥 He is a very quick right back, excellent at getting forward and creating chances with his crosses. He can also play as a wing back thanks to his pace and energy.

⚔️ This is an important signing for Venezia ahead of the new season. The club want to build a competitive team, and bringing in a player with international experience is a big boost.

Liberali is a new Como player!

🫡 Como continue to be very active in the transfer market. Mattia Liberali has chosen Cesc Fàbregas' project and will wear the Como shirt next season. The deal has been completed for €6 million, and Fabrizio Romano has already given his famous "Here we go."

Liberali is one of the most promising young Italian talents. After an excellent season with Catanzaro in Serie B, several clubs showed interest in him, including AC Milan, who tried to bring him back. In the end, the 2007 born midfielder chose Como.

🔥 He is an attacking midfielder with great quality, excellent dribbling, and strong one on one skills. He can also play as a winger and is considered one of the brightest young prospects in Italian football.

⚔️ Como continue to build a stronger squad after their historic qualification for the Champions League. Fàbregas believes a lot in Liberali and hopes to help him develop even more by giving him opportunities from next season.

From a third party perspective, this Ramos deal looks odd

According to transfermarkt, Milan paid €74m for Goncalo Ramos from PSG.

As far as I was aware, Ramos has not been performing well. In 1309 minutes of league play last year (low) he scored 6 Goals and got one assist. His goals came against teams like Metz (2), Toulouse, Marseille, Rennes. One of the goals is a penalty. He just turned 25.

I actually don’t hate the player and think he will be an overall good addition to Milan but how does it make much sense that the player goes for 74m? It seemed his stock had gone down since his transfer to PSG for 60m or so.

I understand Amorim asked for him but why would Milan agree to such a fee? It seems like a huge gamble. Ramos does not look like a record signing. Everywhere I look his value is around 40m.

How can this be justified?

Ekhator is a new Juventus player!

🫡 Juventus have completed a signing for the future: Jeff Ekhator will wear the Bianconeri shirt. An agreement has been reached with Genoa for a deal worth around €16 million plus €2 million in bonuses, with David Puczka moving the other way.

😮‍💨 Ekhator is one of the most exciting young Italian strikers. At just 19 years old, he has already made more than 50 appearances for Genoa in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, showing great quality and huge potential.

He is a strong, quick centre forward who is excellent at attacking space behind the defense. He also links up well with his teammates and has shown great confidence despite his young age. Juventus see him as an important investment for both the present and the future.

👀 For Genoa, this is a very important sale, while Juventus continue to invest in young Italian talent. Their goal is to help Ekhator develop and become one of the club's main strikers in the coming years.

Tell me about Gianluca Zambrotta: What was he like during his prime, and why is he never mentioned among the greatest Italian defenders?

When fans discuss the golden era of modern Serie A defending, the conversation instantly shifts to iconic names like Maldini, Baresi, Nesta, Cannavaro, and Cafu.

But one guy who rarely gets the same legendary status or hype today is Gianluca Zambrotta.

Why doesn't Zambrotta get nearly as much praise and recognition as the other icons of that 2006 generation? Is he the most underappreciated Italian player ever?
