People in NYC with LO with Alzheimers

Any gems to know of? My parents are coming for a visit, most likely the last one, before he cannot handle travel. Wanna keep this visit easy and stress free but also take them on an outing or two. Any Alzheimer friendly places to know of? I live in Brooklyn but most likely getting them a hotel as hotels are part of his memory database. He keeps asking to go on the speed boat they went on 10 years ago but I am hesitant to lock him in on a 1 hour boat rode with no bathrooms. Thinking maybe the Intrepid, Bronx Zoo....Want to keep his dignity while also not pushing this visit to be anything. TYIA

Looking for feedback for River Cruise- American mom and daughter

I have scoured this thread and I am sure that I still missed something. Posting here just in case. My mom wants a river cruise with me. I am starting the process of looking into what is the best fit. Putting our information below to see if it resonates with anyone for cruise suggestions.

Me- single female in 50's. Mom- 80 but seems like she is in her 60's. She is not into high activity but loves a good castle tour or town tour, although neither of us speak any other languages. On a budget, as I will be paying for all of this. Still, I want to make this special i just am not financially carefree. I don't care about meeting people on the cruise, although I love meeting all people. My mom is extremely social. So far from Reddit I see that the best cruise lines are Avalon, Ama, Viva, Tauck, Uniworld. I do not care about catering to Americans, but my mom will want the comfort of English. Looking into shoulder season as well. If anyone has any suggestions from a similar experience, I'm all ears. I have never done any cruise before. Thanks all in advance!

Nephew was diagnosed with Lyme and went through the round of antibiotics. He felt better and then all the symptoms came back. Thoughts?

Hi all- my nephew was diagnosed with Lyme and went through the round of antibiotics. He felt better and then all the symptoms came back. He tested negative and a spinal tap showed nothing and so every doctor he sees brushes him off. He has been unable to work or really do much of anything. Does this sound familiar? Any suggestions? He is located in NYS and has not so great insurance. So far he cannot find a functional medicine doctor that takes his insurance.

What is the difference between an "incandescent" lighting fixture with an LED bulb and an LED lighting fixture? This was answered 12 years ago but I am looking for more UTD answers

Hi all- I am shopping for fixtures and many offer an LED version and an incandescent version. They all show the same specs. NOT ASKING ABOUT THE BULBS. EDIT: These fixtures do not come with bulb and both take a standard A bulb.

The incandescent fixture is less expensive. There are great answers in the post from 12 years ago but I assume technology has changed. TYIA!
