Currently, this has been the final design, I haven’t run this model enough but I’m for sure going to do some small design changes, thinking of releasing a “2.0” model that is more reliable with a couple of cosmetic changes. Right now it is reliable but there is room for improvement, as compared to my 4-8-4 chassis which runs like clockwork (by far my best looking and most reliable models) I would like the big boy design to be the best it can. Let me know what you think!

Extremely rough start for my new S1 model, but I have the vision and have figured out the HUGE rigid frame. This thing is going to be a beast, I have a rough idea of how much shorter the engine will be next to my big boy.

Guy is doing 150 for all of this. The engine brand new is around 220, I’m wondering what the cars are worth? The longer ones I think are old Con Cor

Almost done with this revised design of my FEF, this will be my 3rd one I’ve built. Been super busy the last 2 weeks and haven’t had time for any trains- sorry for the lack of posting!

With all the crazy O scale big boy paint schemes, I decided to do my own. Same design as my other big boy just recolored, I plan on having it pull my other AFT cars that I have. Let me know what you think!

Runs extremely well on 3s, been stress testing for about 45 mins now. Motors are hot but not too hot, so far it’s been perfect. I had it pull about 15 pounds and it got almost up to full speed. Going to keep testing but so far so good. Also note that I’m running it with my overscaled passenger cars, I call it the “overscale limited” 😂

I like to think I’ve become a brick train scientist, XT60 LiPo plug adapted to an extension cord with a small 3s LiPo battery. To say this makes a difference in speed is an understatement. Would anyone be curious in these? I’m going to start running all of my trains like this. I can’t wait to put it in big boy.

If anyone remembers, my previous design came out to be closer to 100 feet so it was a little out of scale. This one looks much better and I think is a lot cleaner. Scales more to 70 feet when compared to the FEF-1. Let me know what you think!

My greyhound big boy is missing some pieces (and I don’t have the proper wheels and rods yet) but the collection is growing!

Had to make a normal FEF-1 without shields or the skyline casing. Really happy with how this one came out I plan on building one soon. On to other engines and rolling stock now!

This is my favorite model I’ve made so far. I plan on building a personal one soon. I really want to build 2 but there was only ever 1 with the skyline casing so I can’t get myself to do it.

So far no one has guessed it. People have been close! Hopefully announcing later this week!

The C&0 F11 is actually one of my favorite models I’ve done so far. I had originally released this in late 2025 but this is a rerelease with full custom parts!

I finished my UP FEF-1 #815 with the experimental skyline casing. Let me know your opinions!
