Quit exactly 101 hours ago. Not experiencing withdrawals, but I miss the sensation

It's been exactly 101 hours since my last draw. That day I went in for a tooth extraction at the Dentist, and thought.. this is a good escape window, as you know, vaping after dental work like this is definitely not ideal in the case of the dreaded dry socket.

I went through a brief period the next day of brain fog, but other than that.. I can't recall any concerning withdrawal symptoms so far. Maybe some weird 2 AM cortisol spikes.

I believe the NRT gum may be helping me in that manner, as I'm not fully withdrawn from Nicotine, yet, by continuing to use the gum every hour or so.

The thing I'm missing the most, are the good moments with it. Sitting in the car, long trip, and just banging away on that disposable. Sitting at my desk after a big meal and going for a nice Sprite Zero + vape rip (God tier combination). Not going to lie, hitting up a quick storm in the work toilets was another favourite.

I want something to do with my mouth and hand. I don't know if using zero Nicotine in a pod device will benefit me or not. I have a prescription that allows me to order Zero nic juice that isn't just Menthol/Tobacco flavoured, and I can get the pod kits to use as well. I think it will backfire and fuel my ambition to vape nicotine disposables again.

I just miss that sensation, that's really the only "withdrawal symptom" that I am going through.

Just had a tooth extraction performed

Upper pre-first molar was taken out. Already I’m fighting the urge to hit the disposable.

Was told I can’t vape within at least 24 hours. The dentists were showing me a method on how to vape with a tissue, to prevent a dry socket being formed.

I think this is a sign… cold turkey? Or should I try get ahold of some nicotine lozenges or spray, to taper down.. I guess? Kind of scared I’ll go into withdrawals in the next 24 hours, as I’m essentially a 16 hour a day vaper.

Been wanting to quit for ages now, and this feels like an opportunity to finally ween off.

Extraction of upper right first pre-molar - Will be left with a gap and not sure how to proceed

Nearly 30, with a history of smoking/vaping high nicotine usage. Poor oral hygiene from early childhood to mid teenager years. Extractions of upper and lower molars over the years from 18 - 24 years old. Currently not medicated or supplementing, not using any form of alcohol, only nicotine. No medical history or disabilities.

The tooth has a fracture straight across and fragmented at the rear. It is wobbly right now and the crown probably will fall off if I was to chew on that side. Basically hanging on for dear life. My extraction appointment will be in 24 hours time.

At the emergency appointment yesterday, the dentist said it could possibly be a surgical removal at a higher cost, due to the breakdown of the tooth at the rear. He offered to remove it on the spot during that appointment, but I decided on 2 days later because of work commitments. I also have 0 pain at the moment, because the tooth died or something ages ago, and I assume bacteria is remaining.

He prescribed me Amoxicillin and Metronidazole to take together over 5 days, but I am very scared to take this Metronidazole after reading anxiety like side-effects. I have taken Amoxicillin before and it gave me diarrhoea lol but didn't feel any other concern at the time. I'm recovering from a overstimulated central nervous system and made a lot of progress, and refuse to put any form of pill in my body at this moment so I don't reverse anything. I can't call the dentist office to discuss this, because they are closed right now, but I probably should advise them.

Now, we didn't really go over post extraction options, don't know if that is normal. He mentioned the obvious gap, but didn't mention anything on the lines of implant or dental bridge.

What exactly will be the best option, just to make it look normal when I smile? Because this tooth is visible in a smile, and that is my biggest concern. I have heard an implant can take a process, but I assume the dental bridge would be similar in terms of waiting? I am mentally and financially prepared to fork out for an implant, but if there is a more cost effective option, that will give me a normal smile, I may consider that route?

What type of withdrawal symptoms did you experience on a cold turkey quit?

6 years vaping. Started with the pod (Caliburn) and Chinese E-Liquids, transitioned to the box mods like the Vaporesso stuff & salted liquids, and then finally to the disposable vapes after all of the bans etc.

16 hour a day vaper, I'm using it essentially from morning to night and I drain the disposable down to 5% within a 6-7 day time period.

Think it's about time to stop. Want to toss the disposable out the car window one day, just so I can't really run and grab it again. Maybe give it off to another addicted friend of mine. If I can quit the caffeine, I can quit this nonsense. Cold turkey..

So this leads me to asking, what kind of withdrawals did any of yous suffer whilst quitting? Especially if a long-term vaper, and also on a cold turkey basis. From when I quit the caffeine, I don't really recall anything.. maybe my sleep actually got better. I assume nicotine will be a whole different story.

▲ 1 r/sleep

Usually fall asleep by 11.30 - Stayed out late with friends tonight

So it's about 1 AM right now. I stayed out with some friends for a dinner. I almost never go out around this time, so it's thrown my circadian out of loop.

Just popped a Melatonin 0.5, hoping to get a good 4 hours at least, before my natural sleep alarm at 7 AM'ish. My sleep schedule is generally 10-11 PM to 6-7 AM.

My question this morning is, if I wake up at 6-7 AM, can I have a "catch-up nap" around 11 AM or 12 PM, to make up for the loss of sleep? And just so I'm not wired but tired all day. I want to keep the current sleep cycle consistent, it's been very beneficial waking up early.

Stopped taking it because of the anxiety

How long does it take to return to your normal mental state?

This is really not good. I deeply regret taking this. I was mentally fine before all of this, and now I’m suffering in hell.

My current symptoms -

- Constant low mood with irritability

- Heart palpitations at night and morning

- Panic attacks feeling very close but not taking over

- Constant dry mouth

- Weird constant intrusive thoughts that make me anxious

- Feeling hopeless, regret and anxiety all in one

My God I think my nervous system is fried. Stopped all consumption now, and don’t know where to begin on the recovery phase
