I finally announced Time Distortionists, my 4X-adjacent strategy game about rewriting history
It’s 4X-adjacent, with a lot of inspiration from Stellaris and other grand strategy games, Civilization, and XCOM, but the main thing I wanted to build was a strategy game about causality itself.
You manage a timeline spanning 13 billion years from a base outside normal time. You scan history, send agents into crises, build up your capabilities, and deal with the consequences when changing one part of history affects everything that comes after it.
That usually means you can’t fix everything. You have limited agents, limited resources, and a timeline that keeps producing new problems faster than you can solve them.
The announcement trailer went live today, and IGN/GameTrailers posted it, which is a very strange and very cool thing to see after spending so long working on this.
