I know I have said a lot about this already, so last one; if your Selenite gets wet, it is not going to dissolve away, however, prolonged and repeated exposure to water will cause surface erosion to your Selenite, and may even cause it to split.

Verdite is a trade name for a green metamorphic rock that consists primarily of impure Fuchsite, and often found with Quartz, Corundum, Talc, and Chlorite. It is often called “African Jade” because of their similar appearance to Nephrite and Jadeite, however, they are very different in composition and geographical origins.
Verdite predominately found in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Historically, African cultures have associated Verdite with good fortune, prosperity, and protection.
Modern Western Culture associates Verdite with intuition, spiritual growth, and courage.

This is one of my personal favorites! Larimar is actually the trade name of the rare blue variety of Pectolite. Pectolites are typically grayish to yellowish, which makes the unique blue variety really stand out. The blue variety of Pectolite is primarily found in the Dominican Republic, and in 1974, Peace Corp Volunteer Miguel Mendez came up with the trade name “Larimar,” after his daughter Larissa, and the Spanish word for the sea, “Mar.”

It is worth noting that there is a “Russian Larimar” going around that is actually man-made glass.

Larimar is said to promote relaxation and calm, has a strong connection to the sea, and is said to bring into your life the things that you need.

Crystal Flames are said to represent movement, creation, passion and transformation. When combined with the energy and properties of the crystal itself, Crystal Flames can assist us in moving towards where we want to be. For example, a Carnelian Flame could reignite the passion and creativity in an artist.

Crystal Spheres have been used for centuries for spiritual purposes. The most famous among those would be the Crystal Ball, a translucent to transparent crystal sphere used for divination and other crystallomancy.
Cultures as early as the Romans used crystal balls, one of Queen Elizabeth I’s consultants was know for divination work with crystal balls, and the Romani people have used crystal balls as part of their practice.

In modern times, Quartz Spheres are still used for divination, along with other transparent crystals, and even Obsidian Spheres are used for crystallomancy.

Crystal Spheres are said to send the energy and properties of the crystal which it’s made out of, out in all directions. As spheres do not have any points, flat faces, or edges, the energy radiates out at 360 degrees.

Something of note; I have not experienced this, however, there are enough people that have, and there is proper science behind it, so it is worth noting that Quartz spheres, because of their omnidirectional focusing, they can act like a burning glass when in full sunlight. Similar to starting a fire using a magnifying glass, the focused beam of sunlight shining through a Quartz sphere, can cause a fire. Like I said, I have not experienced this, however, I know people who have found pinhole burns in shelves, linen, and carpet from Quartz spheres that were left on windowsills or other places with direct sunlight. You don’t need to hide your Quartz spheres from the Sun, just don’t place them in an area where the sun will shine directly on them.

Phallus-shaped crystals are a phallic symbol that has been used around the world for millennia. Ancient Egyptians associated the symbol with Osiris and Min, in Ancient Greek the symbol was associated with fertility gods, such as Hermes and Priapus. To the Ancient Scandinavians, it was Freyr who was associated with the symbol, while in Ancient Hindu, it is associated with Shiva, and is where the Shiva Lingam stone gets its name.
In Bhutan, it is a holy symbol used to deter evil spirits, and has been found in Ancient civilizations in the Americas.

Phallus-shaped crystals are said to not only bring in the energy and properties of the crystal itself, but also the additional energies and properties of the shape itself, which is said to assist with fertility, manifestation, the Divine Masculine, personal power, and healing.

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass which is formed by quickly cooled lava, which, due to the high viscosity and rapid cooling, minimized crystal growth.
Sheen Obsidian is formed when, as lava flows start to cool, the molten rock captures gas bubbles and other mineral inclusions which align along the internal layers. These bubbles can produce interesting effects such as a golden sheen or a silver sheen. Gold Sheen Obsidian is typically caused by Magnetite or Hematite inclusions, while Silver Sheen Obsidian is typically caused by Feldspar or Cristobalite.

Gold Sheen Obsidian is said to dissolve negativity, cleanse the aura, and reveal hidden truths, while Silver Sheen Obsidian is said to protect against negative energies, help heal past-life issues, and is said to be a crystal of inner reflection.

Mahogany Obsidian is a red, to reddish-brown, to brown variety of Obsidian. Mahogany Obsidian gets its distinct coloring from iron oxide inclusions, which typically comes from the minerals Magnetite or Hematite.

Mahogany Obsidian is said to help with grounding, willpower, and giving strength in times of need.

There are several types of Obsidian; Black Obsidian typically has nanoinclusions of Magnetite, Mahogany Obsidian typically has Iron inclusions, Snowflake Obsidian gets it’s distinct appearance from Cristobalite, and so on.
Obsidian has been used as tools for millennia, by various ancient cultures around the world.

Black Obsidian is said to help with grounding, protection, and increase wisdom and intuition. 

Asterism is a star-shaped concentration of light reflected from a shaped and polished crystal, and is usually caused by rutile in the crystal, aligned in a particular manner.
This phenomenon is more common in corundum (rubies and sapphires), but can also be found in garnets, diopside, and other crystals.

Charoite is a rare mineral that is only found in a particular part of Russia. Its vibrant purple led many to believing that it was fake or dyed when it first gained popularity in the 1970s.
Charoite is said to have been used by ancient Mongols for both decorative and ceremonial purposes.

Charoite is said to help with living in the moment, focus the mind during meditation, and to assist with communicating with interdimensional beings.

Additional Notes: I personally, do not own any Charoite yet. I think it is fantastic, I just haven’t found “my piece,” as it were.
My friend who owns this skull thought it was be fun to give it “eyeballs” to be funny.

Kyanite is an aluminosilicate mineral found in metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. Black
Kyanite typically forms in sprays of bladed crystals, and has earned it the nickname, “Witches Broom.”
Black Kyanite’s coloring usually comes from Graphite inclusions, those sometimes can also include Magnetite.

Black Kyanite is said to help with letting go of things that are not good for you, and to help bring balance.
