Should I tell the guy that I’m dating that I dated his brother before I met him?

I casually hung out with my neighbor (30M) who lives in my building. I guess you could say we went on a couple of “dates“. They didn’t feel like dates because sometimes we would just be talking and he would be like “what are you doing right now? Wanna go grab something to eat?“ And I would be like “sure.“ He would always offer to pay, but after the third time, I told him I wanted to pay for my own food.

One time we went out for drinks and ended up back in my apartment, where he confessed to me that he had always had a “crush“ on me, but didn’t think that I was interested. We ended up making out, but I asked him to leave because I’m not that type of girl lol. I just told him I’d drunk too much and wasn’t feeling good. I actually did this twice on two separate occasions.

After his confession, I asked him out for drinks thinking there might be a shift in our relationship. He said he was busy and we could do something on the weekend. My mind labeled this as a date. But when the weekend came, I didn’t hear from him all day, I reached out to him around 5pm and asked if we were still good to go out that night and he responded telling me that he was out with friends and didn’t drive but he would let me know when he got home. Around 830 that night he calls me and says “my friend is coming over and we’re gonna do shots and then maybe go out. But you can come along if you want.“ I told him no thanks and took that as a sign that he was not interested in me.

That happened a few months ago. Last week I met his brother (36M). My neighbor and his roommate had gone out of town and he had asked his brother to take his dog out while the roommate had asked me to take his dog out. It was very serendipitous and almost felt like a set up.

The brother ended up asking my neighbor (the original guy) for my number and we’ve gone on two dates since then. I have been feeling very awkward about it because the brother and I have a lot of great chemistry, but we definitely haven’t talked about the fact that I made out (tongue included) with his younger brother.

Tl;dr: should I tell the guy I just started dating that I briefly dated (and made out with) his brother?

34F - Is it ok to date the brother of a guy I previously dated?

How do you consistently come up with clickable titles? My best video came from a great title, now I’m stuck.

I’ve realized that titles are like 80% of a video’s success, and honestly it’s kind of terrifying.

My most successful video had a really clickable title. It was vulnerable and specific, something like admitting you’re behind in life at a certain age. The alternate title I tested was even more self-deprecating. Both versions worked incredibly well.

Here’s my problem: I KNEW those titles would perform. But now I’m stuck. How do I keep coming up with titles like that?

I’ve been keeping a list of titles that grab ME, especially for videos I’d normally never watch. Yesterday I clicked on a video about quicksand purely because the title was compelling. I’m realizing successful titles come in all formats: sentences, “I” statements, questions. The format doesn’t seem to matter as much as the hook.

My question: What strategies do you use to consistently generate clickable titles? Do you:

•	Keep a list of titles that grabbed you?
•	Use specific formulas or frameworks?
•	Test titles with friends/audience before posting?
•	Browse trending videos outside your niche for inspiration?

I’m realizing that it doesn’t matter how good your content is if people never click. But I can’t just rely on lightning striking twice. I need a system.

For context: My channel is commentary/personal storytelling, and my most successful content is vulnerable, confessional-style videos.

How do you approach title creation? Any methods or mindsets that have helped you?

Should I accept $300 for a 90-second Temu sponsor integration in the first 3 minutes? (Channel metrics included)

Hey everyone! I got my first brand deal offer and I’m trying to figure out if I should accept it or hold out for something better. Would love some advice from more experienced creators.

The Offer:
• Brand: TEMU (e-commerce platform)
• Payment: $300 cash + $150 in products (one-time, not recurring)
• Deliverable: 90-second integration that must START within the first 3 minutes of one video
• Timeline: ASAP

My Channel Stats:
• Subscribers: 30K
• Recent performance:
• Video 1: 221K views, 8.3% CTR, 98.1% like ratio
• Video 2: 32K views, 8.2% CTR, 97.9% like ratio, 4.8% comment rate
• Video 3 (11 hours old): 7.9K views, 9.6% CTR, 6.5% comment rate
• CPM: $11.84
• Niche: Dating/relationships commentary from neurodivergent perspective
• Growth: +5.6K subscribers in last 28 days

My Concerns:
1. Retention: My latest video has 5:18 avg view duration (41% retention). Adding a 90-second ad in the first 3 minutes could hurt this further.
2. Pay seems low: With my recent video hitting 280K views and my CPM at $11.84, I’m wondering if $300 for premium placement (first 3 minutes) is undervaluing my content.
3. I tried to negotiate to $600 with later placement (5-7 min mark), but they declined and said their budget can’t go higher and placement must be first 3 minutes per company policy.

My Questions:
1. Is $300 + $150 in products a fair rate for a channel my size with my metrics?
2. How much weight should I give to protecting the first 3 minutes vs. getting my first brand deal experience?
3. Should I accept this and keep it as a portfolio piece, or hold out for better offers?
4. For those with similar subscriber counts and performance—what are you typically getting paid for integrations?

I know I could just make ~$300-500 from ad revenue alone if the video performs like my recent ones, which makes me hesitant. But I also don’t want to pass up valuable experience if this is actually a decent offer.

Any advice appreciated!
