How do you know if the job post is real?
Alot of these job postings are fake. Recruiters just going through the motions knowing that there's no position to actually fill. I think I've lost any kind of faith that the position I'm interviewing for is actually real.
I went so far as to built a whole ass plugin that shows the real post date for some of these listings. If it's on Ashby, Greenhouse or Lever, you can just read it from their API for freeeeeeeeee.
I've had at least 3 interviews now where I've been able to ask, "It looks like this listing has been up for over 60 days. Why is that?" It's usually crickets or stuttering.
I get that there are reasons why a company can repost. But, if there's only one position open and it's taking you 30+ days to fill it, I'm going to walk away. For my own peace of mind. I need you to convince me that this job is real before I commit to your 6 round interview process.
