Please forgive the non-boot post...

This sweet girl, Nugget, turned 13 today. That's pretty old for a chocolate lab.

She has one kidney, copper storage disease (we are managing it well) and arthritis.

Over the past couple of years we came close to losing her a few times. But thank God she keeps trucking.

Posting this because I dig the people in this community and want to share something in our life (wife and me) that is very important and special.

(I did make sure to put a pair of boots in the photo array)

First Pair of Packers

12EE, 1964 tan rough out, beeswax edge.

Found these on the 2nds page.

This is the tallest heel and highest arch I've ever worn. Very different feel but not bad. And I know my foot will mold to the foot bed over time.

Java Waxed Flesh, Work Last

Had these for about 1.5 years.

I only wear them to do yard work. They get sweaty, muddy and wet and have really held up well.

Definitely a solid pair of work boots!

Black Burgundy Rambler

Ebay find.

13D, 79 last, Eugene sole, 270 flat welt.

Boots are in great condition.

Color is deep, rich, burgundy with patches of black.

Leather is thick, waxy and pliable

As with all CF Stead Rambler I realty dig the patterns created by the shrinking process.

Definitely a welcome addition to the collection.

Got My Tankers Yesterday

1964 Tan

10"

TNW

Block Heel

Beeswax Edge

Celastic Toe

Honey Vibram Lug

I have not worn these out of the home. Only tried them on to check the fit.

As usual, the TNW is fantastic. A lot of toe room, snug waist and heel.

1964 Tan is beautiful. Not fancy, just right. Color looks like butterscotch. Absolutely beautiful.

A thick cut of leather but it's soft and smooth. I'll break these in with ease.

I have a pair of Sample Sale boots in Double Stuffed Meadow. For weeks I've had that pair of boots set aside for the 2026 Dome.

Upon getting the Tankers, I am questioning that decision and seriously considering making the Tankers my Dome boots.

I like and own a variety of boot styles but, if I had to narrow down my collection to one style it would be a tall heavy boot, with a Munson inspired last.

That stated to say that I can see myself wanting to wear the Tankers more often than my DS Meadows.

And there is no doubt in my mind that the 1964 Tan is a blank canvas that will soak up its environment (more so than the DS Meadow) and drastically evolve for years to come.

Patriot Belt

Belt arrived today.

This is my 11th Nick's belt. As usual, the Nick's team sent me an expertly crafted, high quality, leather belt. Money well spent.

The red and blue stitching and belt loops add style and flair to a solid slab of leather of natural leather.

I know I will most likely never push this belt to its limits but, I have no doubt it can take a beating.

Whereas my other belts are dyed (brown, olive, black, etc...),this belt is a blank canvas. It will be fun to watch as it soaks up the color from my clothing.

Raptor Rex

Got these today. Order was placed May 22nd.

Dark green and black edge/sole. Looks killer.

Fit is great. Construction is solid.

Incredible pair of boots that I look forward to wearing on a regular basis.

Pacific Waxed Flesh, Gamebreaker

Got these today and I'm very stoked.

This PWF is beautiful. Green and blue, absolutely perfect.

I needed a new pair of boots for my walks (mine and with the pups).

Wore them today for a first walk with a pup. We did a fast two miles.

There was no break in discomfort.

The boots flex and bend and the Sierra sole takes the beat down out of walking on concrete.

My feet, ankles, and knees are happy.

Buck Brown Belt

Ordered this belt on May 20. Got it today! Thank you for processing/shipping so quickly!

As usual, another example of Nick's exceptional quality. The leather is top quality, thick, waxy and oily. Precision craftsmanship with strict attention to detail. Smooth edges and even/symetrcal cuts. Absolutely fantastic!

Mister Lou, Tan Latigo

Bought these during Bakers 2025 black Friday sale. Got them Wednesday.

My initial plan was to save these for the 2026 Dome.

When I opened the box and looked at them that plan went out the window.

In some of the pics you can see the oil and wax collecting in the Wesco logo.

I will be wearing these a lot.

Easily in my top five favorite boots.

1st Pair of Franks

Got them from the 2nds page.

12.5 E, Willshire, 6 ", 1977 last, seidel black, black edge, black stitching, celastic cap toe, logger heel and vbar sole.

Not sure what made these seconds.

Vey happy with the fit and the look.

u/Bitter_Diamond_4831 — 3 months ago

Build: 12.5 E, TNW, celastic toe, antique eyes, all eyes, brown edge, dogger heel, 430v sole, standard top.

These are going to be my 2026 Dome boots.

I know the green is not going to stay like it is but, dang, I REALLY like this color (green is my favorite color).

This tannage is like a chameleon. In low light olive, brown, and light gray are present. When light hits them the green really comes out! Bright lime green and deep OD green.

Got my 5lb scrap box today. Very stoked to get it!

Next step is to get needle and thread, pony, awl and, an overstitch wheel. Going to learn how hand to sew the pieces. As I become proficient I will add to my skill set. Ultimately, I want to get to the point where I can make a boot.

Really looking forward to learning how to work with leather.

One of the coolest scars I've seen on a pair of Kudu boots.

If anyone else has some interesting Kudu scars id love to see them.
