Estrogen Patch Shortage
Perimenopausal and menopausal ladies-
Have you been able to find a pharmacy in or near Boulder able to fill prescriptions for estrogen patches? Mine has been on back order at Safeway for over a month, and I’m suffering.
Perimenopausal and menopausal ladies-
Have you been able to find a pharmacy in or near Boulder able to fill prescriptions for estrogen patches? Mine has been on back order at Safeway for over a month, and I’m suffering.
I’m an older millennial-almost 45. My parents are 74 and 75. We haven’t always had the best relationship, and I moved several states away a few years ago to get away from my abusive sister whom they prefer and enable. That said, we’ve all worked really hard on improving our relationships with some real success. I just spent a week of vacation with them. I miss them so much, and I broke down and cried like a child when I had to leave. Since then, I’ve been hit really hard with fear of losing them and anticipatory grief. I find myself crying a lot. I can’t get the fear out of my mind. I’m sure being perimenopausal is not helping. Thanks, hormones. How are you navigating this phase of life?
I am 44f, and my parents are 74f and 75m. I live several states away from them. I just spent a week of vacation with them. We didn’t always have great relationships, and I had to move to get away from my abusive sister whom they prefer and enable. That said, after much work, we have a great relationship now. I cried like a small child when I had to leave them. I miss them and worry that I’m missing out on their remaining healthy years. I was unable to have kids, so, when they are gone, I will have no remaining family. I have found myself over the last few weeks drowning in fear of losing them and anticipatory grief. I cry at the drop of a hat. How do I deal with this stage of life? I’m not sure that perimenopause is helping…
I am going through a very difficult period of life,
I made a poor decision to switch careers and cannot find work. I suffer from very severe depression and anxiety as well as PTSD. I am dealing with intense fear, anticipatory grief linked to my PTSD, insomnia, and severe existential angst.
I have tried several therapists with little luck. I have been hospitalized for depression before and don’t want that to happen again.
I need an experienced, preferably older and male, therapist who goes beyond just talk therapy and is comfortable with very intense emotion and existential issues. I am a therapist myself and have a lot of insight. I need help with resiliency and practical advice on emotional regulation and nervous system reset. I am looking for more than just validation.
I would very greatly appreciate any recommendations. I can pay cash if needed.
I was a lawyer for a little over a decade. I practiced high stakes litigation at a prestigious firm, made excellent money, and graduated from Ivy-adjacent schools. After some mental health struggles, I decided to become a social worker/therapist to help others like me. I do not have my LCSW yet but do have two years of IOP/PHP experience.
I am applying to countless jobs and not getting responses or interviews. I have become very depressed.
A career counselor at a local university told me my background makes me an overqualified and intimidating candidate. She said that people are worried that I will make waves, that they can’t pay me enough, and that I won’t stay. I am not doing this for the money and am very dedicated, but I can’t really communicate that.
People who are in hiring positions-is this true? Am I unhireable?
I’m in an age gap relationship. I’m 45, and he turns 68 today. I’m starting to get terrified of his aging. He had stents put in his heart about 4 years ago. For anyone here dealing with coronary artery disease, how do you stay as healthy as possible?
Can anyone recommend somewhere in town where I could get a whole red velvet cake at short notice for my partner’s birthday? I tried to make one, and, let’s just say, it was less than appetizing…
Does anyone know why it’s “temporarily closed”?
