PoE1 Filter: Curse of the Allflame support, Random Loot Generator, Favourite Endgame Content, Share Links, improved Gear Tiers & much more!

Hey everyone! 3.29 support for poe1filter.com is now live, including the new socket colour system.

This update also brings over many highly requested features from the PoE 2 sister website:

  • Random Drop Simulator & Item Designer
  • Favourite Endgame Content
  • Share & Import filters (or just Cosmetics) through a link
  • New Master gear tier and base type price & usage stats
  • Jewellery tiers
  • Custom styling for any rule, and a styles gallery
  • An overhaul of the Unique Quick Filters section
  • Recombinator support
  • And much more!

As always, you can find the full list of changes in the Changelog tab.

I've added preliminary values for all new and changed currencies, and reset all currency & uniques values to their initial values. These will start updating as soon as the items begin trading on the Currency Exchange & trade site. Simply revisit the tool to receive the latest values; your filters will update automatically.

You're also welcome to join us on Discord and help crowd-source the initial (and Fixed/SSF) values, before league launch.

All your filters will get migrated to the latest version when you visit the tool. You can start preparing them for 3.29.

Heads up: filters created on the main site will no longer work in game version 3.28. To practice your league start or test a build before launch, use legacy.poe1filter.com to create a 3.28-compatible filter. You can import that into the main site afterward.

Keep an eye on the site shortly before launch: initial prices, item metadata, and artwork will continue to be updated as more game data becomes available.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go practice that Winter Orb league start! ;)

Happy treasure diving!

Should I buy Chapter Two or Revised Core Set to start?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

Also why can't I seem to find Chapter Two on boardgamegeek? https://boardgamegeek.com/search/boardgame/page/1?q=arkham%20horror

Chapter Two appears to be at €70, Revised Core around €80, but not sure about availability and prices of chapter 1 expansions.

I guess buying both core sets but no expansions for the first chapter is a bit overkill?

PoE2 Filter: Introducing Item Designer & Random Loot Generator (Late Endgame filter btw)

Hey all! I recently added a couple of often-requested new features to poe2filter.com -- you can now generate Random Loot piles, or create any item using a new Item Designer, to simulate exactly how an item would appear in game. The item tooltip now also displays the applicable rule(s), and there are several useful shortcuts, such as navigating directly to the rule or, for gear, to the base type.

You can simulate 'holding alt'; choose your favourite background; or even toggle between different 'stacking modes'.

Other recent features include support for Identified Genesis Tree Jewellery, a new 'Master' Gear Tier, Jewellery Tiers, Base Type values, previewing Preset Changes, and much more.

I'm currently working on improving currency tiering, e.g. to better deal with the increased value of Chaos Orbs. Stay tuned!

PoE2 Filter: Massive update & 0.5 support done!

It's been a wild ride but 0.5 support for poe2filter.com is live, along with a massive update, including an improved Item Simulator, improved Quick Filter Item Styles, a Styles Library, Custom Rule Groups, Save to File, and in case it's been a while: auto-economy updates, straight from the ingame Currency Exchange!

Specifically for 0.5, to not just dump hundreds of Augments under one class, I decided to split them up into a dozen of more specific item types, following the official names as much as possible. I've also added first-class support for Verisium, both auto-scaling during League Start, as for endgame.

I added preliminary values to all new and changed currency, which will automatically get updated once the items get traded on the Currency Exchange. Just revisit the tool and you'll receive the latest updates, synced or saved automatically. You're welcome to join us on Discord to help crowd-source the initial (and Fixed/SSF) values, before the league start.

All your filters will get migrated to the latest version automatically upon visiting the tool or loading/importing them. You can start tweaking them for 0.5.

Note that from now on, will no longer work on v0.4 of the game. If you still want to practice your league start or test a build before launch, you can create filters which still work on 0.4 using legacy.poe2filter.com instead.

Stay tuned right before launch as we will continuously update item metadata, artwork, and initial values, as more game data becomes available!

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a league start build to choose & practice! ;)
