Many martial arts we think are ineffective actually aren’t. It’s too easy to glance at this and think it’s bullshido but look at the way this old man is using footwork, using his arms to intercept the arms of the “opponent” and manage distance. I know in reality this old man gets folded by the younger, bigger man but the concepts are still there. We should keep an open mind and stop this rigid thinking that only kickboxing and Muay Thai are effective at self defense.

What makes you think “yeah, I’m definitely a Pisces.”

For me it’s my nonstop imagination that’s pretty hard to control at times. I would daydream even during conversations and I would have to catch myself and force myself to lock in and listen to the other people.

Pisces strength portrayed as a negative

Many other signs say we have a “martyr complex” which may be true for those of us at lower vibrations but martyrdom is actually an admirable thing to do. People love twisting the narrative about us to make it seem that anything we do is out of weakness or some narcissistic motivation. Suffering for a purpose willingly is an act of strength.

Why does mainstream Christianity still have such a heretical view of God?

I spent most of my life fearing this idea of an angry, infinitely vindictive god who threatens people with fire if they don’t “love” him. I never understood ECT but once I discovered Universalism everything clicked for me. How come despite the overwhelming evidence supporting Christian Universalism it is still so unpopular? If God doesn’t want anyone to perish but have eternal life then why would he willingly lose most of his creation to his enemy?

Edit: I realize the word heretical should be replaced with incorrect

How do you handle all the hate for your sign on the internet?

It seems almost every sign hates our guts with the exceptions being the other 2 water signs: Cancer and Scorpio. It seems people don’t respect water energy in general because they think it makes us weak. Scorpio only gets some respect because people can confuse it for a fire sign but they still get flak for their emotional nature. If you’re a water sign does the negativity affect you at all and how did you deal with it?

Pisces mutability

As the most selfless sign in the zodiac, we tend to put ourselves last and combined with our adaptive nature, we subconsciously change based on our environment. This puts me in a position where I feel the need that we need to discover ourselves. I feel things would be much simpler if I was an Aries because they seem to just live life on their terms and not worry about fitting in or pleasing anybody. Aries are kinda the opposite of us in the sense that they put themselves first (which has both good and bad results).

Does being a Pisces hinder you getting your needs met and does it stop you from seeing a clear view of yourself?

Knife vs Bare Hands - A Reality Check

A previous post showed how important it is not to underestimate the danger of knives. I thought this video of real effort on both parties would be a relevant.

Think about yourself

I know we aren’t naturally selfish people. Naturally, we focus on other people over ourselves but that can be to our detriment sometimes. When was the last time you thought about you? We are all distracted by celebrities, relationships, expectations, other peoples opinions etc. When was the last time you thought about yourself? What are your needs? Nobody can understand you like yourself and nobody will do the inner work you have to do for yourself. It is not narcissistic to love yourself. If you want to heal the world make sure you handle your own wounds first.

Do we have a strong identity?

I heard mutable signs especially Pisces do not have solid identities which allow us to adapt and go with the flow. We are also said to be the culmination of all the signs and are also able to change ourselves based on the people we are around. Do you feel your identity is mostly influenced by other people?

Do you feel like you are completely different from everyone else?

It’s almost like we are to “soft” for this world because while other people are confident and ambitious we are mostly empathetic and dreamy which are good traits to have but not advantageous for getting ahead in the real world. We are also burdened by mental illnesses and delusions and we may struggle to set boundaries which makes everyone looking at us from the outside think we are weak and pathetic. Sometimes I feel like it would be easier to be literally any other sign because they have ambition, confidence, and “strength” (I know empathy and creativity are strengths but I mean strength as in the ability to resist adversaries)

I feel like we are completely different from the other 2 water signs because while Cancers wear their hearts on their sleeve even more than us, they still have traits that allow them to get power, stability and respect and then there’s Scorpios who have the ruling planets of Mars and Pluto which makes them able to take on anything and anyone and even thrive during difficult times. Scorpios are emotional like the other water signs but, like Cancer, are able to stand on business. Pisces on the other hand seems like it has to force itself to be tough on order to survive even though it’s not in our nature to be aggressive. It’s in our nature to be soft and vulnerable and escapist and the world does not encourage this.

Does anyone else feel like the world forces us to act differently from our true selves, because our true nature is seen as too weak?

Do you think that people underestimate our power?

People look at our sign and just assume that our emotional, empathetic, imaginative nature means we are soft and weak. Other signs have their stereotypes such as Leos being arrogant or Aries being confrontational 24/7 which are just not true. Yet, people respect the power of all the other signs except for Pisces and Cancer. They only see us as delusional escapists with no backbones. Do you think the internets opinions of us does us justice or there is more to us than that?
