AITA for being really unhappy with the “deep cleaning” service I received?

Hi All! I recently hired a cleaning service to do a “deep clean” of my 1500 sq foot apartment. The company has about 50 stellar reviews on Google, and seemed nice and communicative.

Their prices seemed very fair - they quoted me $278 for 1 bedroom, 1.5 baths, a kitchen, dining room, living room and office. They ensured me the cleaners would dust, mop, scrub walls and baseboards, vacuum, etc, on top of all other general cleaning. I was told the deep cleaning would take no more than 6 hours, with two individuals doing the cleaning.

We were originally scheduled for last Sunday, but they had to cancel due to a family emergency. They let me know in advance and I completely understood, things happen! We rescheduled for today at 8 am. At 7:45, the scheduling person for the company let me know the cleaners would be there before 9 am. At 9:30 am, they still weren’t there.

The scheduling person said their van had broken down and they were waiting for a jump. She offered me $10 off the price. The cleaners arrived at 10:15 am and left at 1:45 - for a total of 3.5 hours.

I have pictures and videos of what I came home to. Windowsills still with a thick layer of dirt, the bed sloppily made, lots of hair and dirt all over the floors, including the bathroom. Dust everywhere.

I consider myself a pretty reasonable person, but I’m really unhappy with the service I received. I assumed a deep cleaning would be a lot more detailed. I’m communicating with the company now, and it looks like they’re going to try to send the cleaners back tomorrow. Am I the jerk for complaining about this, and asking them to send additional cleaners?

I need to know if I’m being unreasonable

Does this look like an apartment that was deep cleaned to you? I can have high standards, and I’m open to listening!

Thank you in advance
