Headed in to Queen Anne tonight to try the new pizza. I've never been back into the bar area before, do the other locations have that? It was a wonderful vibe, with good drinks, nice music, and Ghostbusters playing on VHS, haha!

The pizza made was good! The Ivar's pizza was very okay. Tasted like clam chowder indeed! The pizza crust was standard, not sourdough as far as I could tell. We also ordered a Muay Thai (basically Hawaiian) for comparison since I haven't been to a Big Mario's in decades.

I'd give it a solid 7/10. Something to try as a slice, only get a full pizza if you really like it.

I do love the fish tacos, but they're too pricey to get with anything else that isn't discounted. $5-6 per taco, depending on your area. They're soooo good though... I'll suffer the pricetag every now and then.

Sounds like Ivar's and Big Mario's are teaming up to create a seafood-style pizza in celebration of seafood month and pizza month. Personally, I'm very excited! Could we be getting a chowder-esque sauce with bacon, potatos, and clams as toppings? Perhaps it will be a crazy-but-memorable pizza covered in fried fish, shrimp, and scallops.

All will be revealed on October 1st! See you then!

Stopped by in Tacoma for some cajun goodies. I didn't know that some seafood bars still carry the Cajun Baby Shrimp and Onion Rings? Why does the Lakewood Ivar's get passed up on so many things??

These are such nice treats, I miss not being able to grab a pouch of these at my local joint. Oh well, maybe I'll write in and ask.

Decided to grab the cajun fish sandwich today over the Salmon BLT I usually get. It pairs well with the Alaskan salmon chowder!

As for the "12th Clam" Energizer... If I brought in a sugarfree redbull, hypothetically, to ask the kitchen staff to substitute that, they wouldn't be able to since that's against the rules.

But if they did, hypothetically, I think it would be funny to realize that the sugarfree redbull doesn't mix with the cream of the dirty soda. The sugarfree energy drink turns the cream into clumps that looked similar to snow. Hypothetically. The drink probably, hypothetically tastes way better with less sugar.

A lovely meal for my return from a work trip. These rock cod filets are great, and I hope they stick around through the fall. I should look up if rock cod has a season...

Not pictured: I tried the Blue Razz Energizer on the drive home. It's good, but I think it would be better with a sugar-free Redbull than a regular redbull. I might bring one and see if the staff will let me add my own.

Took a week to breed up everyone I wanted for a runthrough of Plat, with plans to snag all the ribbons once I have the postgame open. All are legit, bred to have good IVs and natures for potential usage in tge Battle Frontier.

Admittedly, Portiere is from my Emerald cartridge since I needed a Skarmory that knows Counter for the World Ability Ribbon cheese. (Counter can only be tutored in Gen III)

Tell me what you think! Overkill? Yes. Fun? Absolutely.

Tried the next flavor of dirty soda today, at recommendation of the manager. It was very good! Slowly beginning to realize the sweetness of the drinks aren't quite my style, but they're still nothing bad.

And of course, the Salmon BLT is as good as ever!

Ordered the Salmon and Chips with the new "Ivar's Energizer". It really is just a dirty soda with Redbull, but I appreciate the franchise trying something new.

The Copper River salmon is still here, and still tastes delicious deep fried in batter! Perfect for dipping in chowder and ever-my-favorite Smokey Tangy sauce.

Newly added to the Seafood Bar menus, Ivar's presents Energizers and Dirty Sodas!

I was shocked to see them advertized today. With Ivar's usual clientele and days-gone-by atmosphere, energy drinks were the last menu addition I expected to see.

I ordered the Watermelon Wave Energizer, and was pleasantly surprised by the smooth-yet-zingy taste. It doesn't kick like drinking straight Red Bull would, but you still get the full jazz from the drink. Delightfully tasty, but be sure to try it out and make your own opinion. My sweet tooth unfairly biases me towards a positive review.

I gotta say, the Copper River Salmon has been knocking it out of the park for me. Going to try it on the BLT next week, and then finally on the ceasar salad. Very tasty!

Coincidentally, the same week the Salmon BLT lost its bacon, the cheesecakes reverted to the old flavors. I'll miss the Butter Pecan, but the banana flavor is nothing to sneeze at either!

Ivar's has brought back the Copper River Salmon dinners, but they're aware of the cost issues this time around. Why increase the price of the seasonal salmon when you can simply replace all available whole salmon on the menu?

That's right, Copper River Salmon have replaced the normal salmon in the Salmon & Chips, Salmon Grill Platter, Salmon Caesar Salad, and the ever-ignored Salmon BLT!

I had the salmon & chips today, and the difference comes primarily in the texture. It's much more tender, and flakes apart in your mouth. I'm not a connoisseur enough to describe the taste properly, but I'd venture to say it tastes ever so sweeter than the standard salmon.

This change should be occuring at all Ivar's Seafood Bars, so stop by and get yourself some Copper River Salmon!

The Salmon & Chips have received an upgrade! Copper River Salmon is now served in place of the regular salmon (steelhead, I believe).

In fact, the entire menu has received this change. I'll give more info in a subsequent post.

Looks like I got worked up over nothing. The salmon sammie is sticking around, now served without bacon.

I suppose this is the best outcome, all things considered. Better to still have the $13 sandwich without bacon than no sandwich at all.

Now we'll see if they keep it on the register.
