Cyanotypes on wood?
Got these wooden disks to use as coasters, and got the idea to do cyanotypes on them. Not sure how to properly do it. I don't want the blue color. My idea would be
Apply a cyanotype layer, and obtain the image.
Apply staining somehow maybe? (optional)
Apply varnish on top to seal everything in, to protect against water/heat/scratches to some extent.
Not sure tho which chemicals go together here? Can varnish be applied on top of the cyanotype layer?
The effect im looking for ideally would be stained would where the light hit, less stained where it didn't. Varnish to make it shiny/seal all in. Don't want the exposed cyanotype part to hide the wood grains.
