[S2E7] I feel as if this one line sank my ship :(

I started watching this series a little over a week ago and am really enjoying it, but the romance angle I feel has just been obliterated.

S1 seemed to really play up Lutz x Main's and I was fully on board with that ship because they're really cute together (I'm also a big fan of childhood friends to lovers dynamic)

Yet this one line seemed to destroy any hope of them getting together bc there’s no way Lutz has anywhere near Main's mana capacity :(

I've heard that Main's eventual love interest ends up as >!Ferdinand/Head Priest!< which I hope is false or they somehow manage a massive switch up to get it to work because as things are I really don't see how there could be anything romantic between them (yeah I know big age gaps are normal in this universe but Main doesn't seem too on board with that idea thus far)

Other than that I am quite enjoying the series but am sad ss Lutz x Main won't sail outside of fanfic despite how s1 felt like it was setting that up.

Who do we think Koyasu Takehito will voice in Fortune's Weave?

For those who don't know, Koyasu Takehito has voiced a character in every Fire Emblem game since Awakening to include voice acting (Except possibly Shadows? Idk if he's voiced anyone there yet).

Him voicing someone in fortune's weave seems near guaranteed given his track record so who among the seen characters do we think he may voice? (Unless his character hasn't been seen yet)

Of the characters we've seen thus far I think Sirocco (Purple bard dude) would be most likely to be voiced by Koyasu given he's voiced Lewyn in Heroes.

Has Fern ever denied having feelings for Stark?

I've seen people refer to Fern as a Tsundere before and it never really sat well with me. So I got to thinking, Has Fern ever denied having feelings for Stark in the typical tsundere way?

Sure she struggles with actually expressing those feelings and is often a bit mean to him, but other than I guess calling him an idiot over the bracelet (which wasn't even denial really, she even got upset at him suggesting getting a different one) she's never denied having feelings for him from what I can recall.

Which is why I always get annoyed at people calling her a Tsundere as I feel other than occasionally being a bit mean to Stark, she doesn't really exhibit traits of the typical Tsun,

Is there any cause for concern about the long term future of the anime?

So we all know by now S1 ended on a massive cliffhanger. There's been a lot of talk and speculation as to why it ended where it did, most say the season was supposed to be longer but production issues cause them to cut things short but some have said it was a deliberate marketing ploy to get people to read the manga (it worked on me ngl).

Regardless of anything, I've seen some sources say that Bug Films came on board the project in 2022 and started animating in 2023 for the series to eventually release in 2026.

If all these production issues are true, is that cause for concern for the anime long term? Someone on a general anime form said they were concerned WHA looking expensive to make would make it end up becoming like One Punch Man in future.

At the time I didn't get the correlation but hearing more about the series having production issues and taking such a long time to get produced, and the lack of official S2 announcement, I am a little concerned that there could be issues behind the scenes which harm the long term health of the anime.

Are these legitimate concerns or am I just worrying for no reason? I really love this series so I do hope it has a bright future in animated form (no hate on the manga, it's great but I do generally just prefer anime in general)

Why has Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex fallen off so hard lately?

The bear was very common before rotation, and even a number of decks early this format played it yet slowly it's been seeing less and less play to the point barely anyone uses it.

Is Watchtower the main thing causing him to fall off or is there some other reason freddy fez bear's cousin has practically stopped seeing play in decks that used him prior?

Which character do we think will get profiled on Monday (assuming reveals continue)

Will it be glasses girl, Pirate Waluigi, Brazillian Miku or someone else entirely? Place your bets now!

My guess is it'll be glasses girl since she seems important to Cai and he was the first lord profiled so assuming they continue the pattern of reveals every 2 days it should go Cai faction -> Dietrich Faction -> Theodora faction -> Leda Faction.

Why doesn't Frieren seem regretful over her master like with Himmel?

So we know Himmel's death was the catalyst for Frieren wanting to change her ways but why didn't Flamme's death seem to affect her the same way? (Other than "Because plot")

Is it that she spent more of Flamme's life with her, just Flamme being a bit more aloof personality wise compared to Himmel's more warm and outgoing personality?

Or is it more that Flamme's death did affect her but she chose not getting close to people as a defence mechanism but Himmel managed to reach her causing her to realise what she was missing 🤔

Why do Crushing Hammers not seem to be used as much in Japan?

Among all the top decks from Champion's league Aichi and Japan Championships not a single one played any crushing hammers in contrast to NAIC where basically every Pult player was packing at least 3 hammers (outside chicken Pult).

Anyone know why Japanese players don't seem to have adopted the hammer trend from the west?

30m never been on a date or had anyone interested in me. Anything I can do to try and change that?

Hi I'm a 30 year old man, soon to be 31. I've never been on a date, never had women express interest in me, or even really got close to a date.

I've tried dating apps on and off, rarely getting any matches. The odd time I do get a match we talk on and off for a week or so at most before eventually just fizzling out.

I feel insanely behind and that my lack of experience contributes to inability to get anywhere bc women around my age likely want someone who knows exactly what they're looking for in a partner and understands how this works.

While a younger women would probably see me as weird for not going more for people my own age.

Am I just cooked or is there some kind of hope for me to find someone?

Is Lightning arguably the worst type in Standard currently?

Lightning does not appear to be in a particularly good spot right now in Standard. No deck that really seems to hit day 2 at regionals since Iron Hands and Miraidon left, barely any meta relevant cards besides the very uncommon Tera Pikachu ex in Tera box decks or Zeraora in some slowking decks.

Other types that may not have a stand out deck at least have some common techs or solid rogue strategies like Blaziken ex/Moltres for Fire and Metal box decks for Metal.

Pitch Black doesn't seem like it's gonna be helping Lightning much competitively unless someone finds a way to break Mega Zeraora (doubtful) so is it just cooked for lightning enjoyers?

We're currently in the longest gap ever between brand new 3D Mario titles.

Mario Odyssey is currently 9 years old heading towards 10 and we don't have a confirmed new 3D Mario game making it the longest gap between 3D Mario titles since the prior gap of 7 years between Galaxy 2 and Odyssey.

I'm shocked we haven't even had a Switch 2 Edition of Mario Odyssey, or even whispers of a new title? Is Nintendo just not really interested in doing new 3D Mario games or is there some other reason it's been such a long gap between 3D games?

Edit: Just to clarify I'm not being like "WAAAH all these games they're doing nowdays suck where's my new Mario" . I'm VERY happy with what was shown in the latest direct and am not saying that Switch 2 hasn't had some banger titles.

t's just surprising to me that we haven't had a true 3D Mario since Odyssey or heard proper whispers of it considering every Nintendo console since the N64 bar the WiiU had a 3D Mario within the first two years.

Is it considered harassment to ask a woman out if she hasn't shown interest beyond reasonable doubt?

I've never had any success with women, always seen as a friend only and if I ever try to change that it ends poorly.

There have been women recently that the thought crossed my mind of trying something even if just to feel things out and see how it goes.

The problem is...I feel like unless a woman has been explicitly clear that she is interested that suggesting a date is considered disrespecful for mistaking friendliness as interest and borderline harassment at worst.

Is this correct and I basically need to hope for a miracle that a woman shows interest in me first or has the internet poisoned my mind and this isn't such a big deal?

Have Marth & Roy ever directly interacted in any official media?

I was cosplaying Roy at a cosplay shoot I hosted posing with a Marth cosplayer and explaining to the Mercedes cosplayer who isn't as familiar with the older games that Marth and Roy are from different games when a question dawned on me: Have Marth and Roy ever interacted in official media?

As far as I can think of...the answer is no.

In terms of FE crossover games, Roy wasn't in Warriors and has yet to appear in shadows so nothing there. Engage the emblems barely interact with each other directly, Awakening's outworld DLC characters don't interact with each other either from memory nor do the Amiibo units from Fates or Echoes.

Heroes is the most likely place they'd have some kind of interaction but I can't think of any moment they share (Ike and Roy have some interactions but Marth took a while to win CYL and hasn't shared a seasonal banner with Roy either..)

In terms of crossover games Melee & Smash 4 had no real interaction between characters so that's a no there, Roy wasn't in Brawl so Subspace interactions, Ultimate I don't think there was any either in World of Light.

No Dragalia lost for Roy either

Unless there's a random forging bonds interaction I'm not aware of or Codename Steam has them talk I don't think these two have ever directly interacted dispite being introduced to most of the Western fans at the same time in Melee which is kinda wild to think about.

What's the most popular ship for Mercedes?

I hosted an FE shoot today as Roy and one of the cosplayers there was a Mercedes. At the photographer's suggestion we ended up creating a funny crack ship (Roy clearly has a thing for mage girls that can cast bolganon 😅)

It got me thinking though, crack ships aside who is the most popular support partner for Mercedes in 3H?

I never really hear much about popular ships for her compared to all the other Blue Lions like Nettflix, Dimileth, Ashepar(?), Sylvix, Dimidue, Dorogrid(?) So it got me curious what Mercies' popular ships are

Will we get more focus on Olruggio in what remains of s1?

I only started watching the anime last week but it's really hooked me. I love Coco and Qifley the most so far, and was considering cosplaying Qifley but before starting ep 6 I thought to myself "Maybe I should wait and see if any other Male characters I like more show up later" (cause in Frieren, Stark is by far my favourite and he doesn't appear till ep 5/6) Lo and behold, ep 6 ends up debuting a cool new dude Olruggio (He has a GOTEE!! anime dudes rarely have facial hair unless they're old or evil so that alone makes him real tempting to cosplay as a dude who has to shave every time I cosplay if I wanna be canon 😂) but I don't feel like we got enough of him in ep 6 & 7 for me to know if I like him over Qifley.

So are we likely to get any further significant focus for him in ep 8 to 13 that will help me decide which Male Witch I should cosplay? Or am I gonna need to read the manga/wait till s2 to get more of him? I did see on his Wiki page that he apparently specialises in Fire magic so if he has a Fire weapon like Qifley's Raincleaver I'm sold 😂

Some questions post LA regionals

The results of LA regionals feel imo a lot less exciting than those of Prague so I wanted to kind of get a discussion going about a couple of questions I had.

 1. Dragapult in general: We knew going into Prague Pult was the best deck, so what made the level of Pult play go up so much from Prague to LA?

Just American players wanting to play the best deck, people adjusting enough to the format to realise how much better Pult is or some unrelated factor?

1b. Speaking of Pult, What made the Blaziken variant fall off so much? Prague it seemed pretty popular but seemed much less popular at LA with Azul and others mentioning going in that it doesn't seem as well positioned as straight pult yet I don’t see any clear reasons why? Imo if Crushing hammer stays popular Blaziken builds might come back up again.

 1. Wtf happened to Mega Starmie? Second most played in day 1 only to fall off a cliff in day 2 with 52nd being it's highest placing. Shaymin seemed to see very little play so surely that would be beneficial for Starmie yet saw very little success. Did everyone who played it just brick/missplay/get bad match ups?

 2. A lot of decks seemed to not bother with anti-crustle tech and the deck saw very little play which seems really suprising? Did people just decide they'd rather not take the match up roulette or adapt the deck to overcome some weaknesses?

Overall I'm definitely curious to know what caused a lot of the shift between Prague and LA in these areas, how much came down to regional differences and what the meta is likely to do heading into the next two weeks of regionals.

All the current Meta viabile Megas are basics and stage 1. Mega Greninja sees some play in Japan but didn't see much success at the first champion's league where Ninja spinner was legal.

So I'm wondering what does a Stage 2 Mega need to actually be viable? Built in Energy Acceleration? Easy spread damage?

Or do we just need to wait till the current 2 Prize exs like Dragapult leave the game to give stage 2 megas a chance to shine?

Last format Bolt basically always played Owls, but none of the builds from Prague used the Owl package and rarely do builds from Japan seem to.

I woulda thought being able to grab any trainers you want with the higher reliance on teal mask would be even more crucial given you can't afford to miss a turn of KOs.

Is it just the lack of reliable way to get hoot-hoot out with no nest ball given that Bolt doesn't really want to run Pokepad?

Been very curious about Mega Starmie for a bit but watching it's performance at Prague pushed me to actually build the deck.

Atm I'm playing the Dusk build that got 4th place and while it's fun, it feels very reliant on a good opening and struggles to make comebacks especially if they bench the duck. (god forbid they have Psyduck AND Shaymin down, you might as well scoop then and there)

Curious if people feel the Frosslass build is more consistent or if there's an alternative build others have found is more well rounded?
