Just a little while - a passage of time animatic

Over a couple of days I wrote lyrics myself, went through 50+ revisions listening to the song a hundred times at least, created a story board, got the images for it and put it all together on a video editing software.

I hope it's something that resonates with you and touches your heart, enjoy the story!

[Alt-pop] Just a little while

- A passage of time music animatic

I don't have much talent with drawing and playing instruments but I still wanted to make something and share my creativity.

Took a couple days of work, getting the pictures right, over 50 music drafts and listening to each revision fully. I also wrote all the lyrics by myself! Then put it all together on my video editing software.

Hope you enjoy it and let me know if you tear up a little!

Looking for PvP tips so fights are interesting and don't end in a stalemate

Currently playing in a group of 4 and for now we're just taking care of AI battles for each other so the stakes aren't really high but we still try and kill as many units as we can do make each other lose resources.

The real problem is how we fight, during the Ai battles you don't want to drag them on for too long and we did set a combat timer (lesson learned since last game took 1h+ on some fights). So during these fights we play as best as we can but we don't optimise massively when we're the one controlling the Ai. However that'll soon change as we get into the middle-game and we start fighting bigger battles between each other and it becomes more important to attrition each other down.

With battles we care about, like late-game open field battles or player army vs player army, how do we deal with the 'opening strike' being the best way to win? if I attack the enemy first and move into range, my army has less perfect positioning, my archers can only attack once and unless all my units have the same speed we'll get flanked or sitting ducks for enemy archers/mages getting focused fire and mauled. If you attack first unless you're way stronger you are massively punished for it.

This became such an obvious fact to us after so many many battles that we did against each other that the player who attacks first is at a disadvantage that when we had our first open-field player army vs player army the fight took 1h+. Both of the player's armies (not mine) were just rotating around each other trying to maintain perfect positioning that they actually did a 180 spin around the battlefield. The only reason the fight started was someone accidently clicked the wrong tile and now all the enemy units could pile on that one.

My priority is usually fun when I fight, I don't want to play chess and think too long so I will make the most optimal choices I can within decent time and knowing unless it's a siege I always have to attack first.

So now, given the way everyone plays so defensively, is there anyway for me to even the odds during combat? or do I just need to bite the bullet and attack first at a disadvantage during PvP? Again, I'm also one of the 'defensive' players and I would do the same but the flow of the game just seems more important to me. I do not want to see orbiting armies again, if anyone can give me some advice to break this dumb friend game 'meta' that developed between us I'd be happy. Or maybe there are counters to defensive players (other than outranging them, as they also build for range). Maybe we're too newbie to see but there's got to be something I hope, ty for any answers and general pvp tips super welcome!

EDIT: I'm playing Nomad scavangers right now, leader is a defender champ (always got to try something new)

Need some help understanding crusade mechs for ACT 3 and ACT 5

So I am now finally in act 3 and I look a little bit ahead usually, not story wise but mechanically and apparently between Act 3 and Act 5 you >!lose all the crusade management stuff?!<Im not sure if >!you only lose armies, the buildings stay? so I've been a little demotivated with the crusade stuff and wondering if I should just clear the map from demon armies and not care about it any deeper until act 5. Or would it be beneficial to build up everything including a big army before I lose it at the end of act 3?!<

So I'm just wondering >!What carries over? what doesn't? I wouldn't like spending hours on end doing something just to hear it doesn't matter so soon.!<

I don't want any story spoilers please! all I'm asking for is game mechanics and advice so I don't waste my time. Thank you in advance!

Spouse visa confusion - need some help for my specific scenario

I'm graduating Uni this year, so I will be starting work in September. My partner is from the middle east and we are already married in the UK (with the help of a marriage visitor visa).

I know that there is a financial requirement for the spouse visa of 29,000 a year. I will most likely earn 25,000 a year at the start. So I have a couple of questions regarding this scenario:

  • Can my partner apply for a spouse visa as soon as I have a job offer?
  • Do I need to have 1 or more payslips to prove an income or employment other than the contract I get?
  • Is there a minimum time I have to be employed for before my employment 'counts'?
  • If there is a disparity between my income and the required 29,000 I know savings can cover the missing income. If I'm missing 4000 a year how much would there needs to be in savings?
  • Can I only use my own savings? or can my partner's savings be used to cover this difference?

Thank you for the help in advance, we completed one step of many I know but we're still stressed about what's to come. Appreciate any advice or help thank you
