Hey guys, need a quick reality check on this university/Christian Union (CU) situation.

​There’s this guy (we're both Christians) that I’ve had kinda a vibe with for months. Before Easter, I was hitning i liked him e.g watched his fave movie and told him,kept coming up to him, and showing up to places he goes to. Then easyer break happened and my close guy friend who is also close with him (he graduated a year ago too) was questioning me about any new lore updates regarding my crush and was asking abt him. Also we did salsa dancing together in christian union and he had ran in the other side of the rotation so he could end up dancing with me i think. He even openly complimented me when my I said mum mum was a model he said thats why you're good looking. Every Thursday at our union, we would make high-intensity eye contact for weeks. The chemistry felt 100% real, but we got stuck in a stalemate and neither of us broke the ice. The last Thursday of our union before the final union he had kept staring at me so much it was insane although people say he does stare. Now the last time I saw him was at our summer ball last week, and the tension turned into total awkwardness. He completely avoided eye contact with me so did I and didn't come up to talk to me at all, so I kept my pride and stayed with my girls.

​To make things weirder, I found out he recently said "being attractive isn't enough" and "nobody in CU shows me interest anyways lol." It felt incredibly targeted since we've clearly had a vibe, and it felt like he was just convincing himself to give up because he was too chicken to make a move unless its cause he thinks theres a vibe but not enough.

​We actually live in the exact same local area for the summer, and I got tired of the "what ifs" ruining my head space. I dont know if I should shoot my shot again I had previously but he was really set on someone else at the time. SO is he just an insecure guy waiting for a green light, or does he not see me like that? What do you think he’s going to say?

Need advice: Guy I like had his friend farm for info on me weeks ago, but he’s freezing up when it comes to making a move. What’s his deal?

​The Backstory: There is a guy in my university circle who I like and I have been hinting heavily and showing interest.

He does reciprocate.

​The Information Farming: Five weeks ago (around Easter), his close friend messaged me out of nowhere. The friend was explicitly digging for tea, asking, "How is he getting on?" and "Any new lore updates?" When I directly asked the friend if he knew anything, he dodged the question. It felt like information-farming for the guy to get the "receipts" on whether I still liked him.

​The Recent Issue: We’ve been deep in exam season lately so things have been quiet. However, last night, he hosted a casual hangout at his place to watch the F1 race. He invited a specific group of people who actually watch F1, including my best friend. I don't watch it, which is likely why I wasn't invited, but it’s frustrating that it’s so easy for him to invite people over for that, yet he acts totally frozen when it comes to me.

​The Dynamic: We see each other every single Thursday at our university campus social.

​The Plan / My Dilemma:

Exams finish this week. My plan for this Thursday is to walk up to him in person, and drop a clear green light by smiling and saying, "Ugh, I'm finally so free now that exams are over," to see if he finally takes the opening.

What do I do honestly to make him make a move? Examples of him reciprocating to me is- I said my mum was a model he was like in a lowww voice "thats why ur good looking", I just laughed. Another example is standing near when I looked away and he was close when I looked back. Another is staring and sometimes not looking away. Another example is liking reels "when she is giving u clear signs but u also thought Senegal had won". Or "have a crush but dont know what to text?"

Another example is in Salsa running to the other side of the rotation so he could end up dancing with me lol. Anyways this was all before easter 5 weeks ago now im not sure during easter he sent his friend for info but now that im back nothing happened last Thurs as a matter of fact seemed like he aired me but idk.
