Crazy to stock up on parts?
I just got the FP6+ last Monday. Is it crazy for me to think about buying a spare battery (or two) and an extra screen (or two)?

Curious to know what most of you chose for your switch button setting. I had an iPhone over a decade and a half ago and I used to love airplane mode as a way to disconnect distractions. But I see myself using it now with the Do Not Disturb mode on. Moments, still feel like a distraction or semi-gimmicky.
Alternatively, I like it as a flashlight/torch mode. It provides more room in the swipe down tray menu for me.
Anyone out there rocking a protected FP6/FP6+? Just got my green one yesterday and loving the naked feel, but I know it should be protected in some way....if I want this to last for 7+ years.
Hello, I just received my green FP6+ in the mail today. As I am trying to set things up and getting use to the UI, I checked my battery consumption and noticed QuickSteps app keeps consuming more of my battery then it should.
What is this app? Can I disable it?
Our son is going into third grade tomorrow (8 years old) and he is crying about not being able to sleep with us in our bed. We are sitting in bed with him right now and trying to help him go to sleep in his own bed.
What's a good method to help him transition? He has been sleeping in his own bed all through second grade, but during the summer he stayed with us. Me (dad) didn't think it was a good idea, but my wife was too much of a softy.
I run my own business and I usually work in the office room.
Every now and then my kid comes in and says, "I would feel so much better if you could play with me."
Any dads here in the same boat??
What so you say to your kids? How do you carve out the time?
UPDATE:
Thank you for all the replies. The more I read them, the more I reflect and think about how grateful I should really be. We are living in some awkward, yet amazing times right now. But family is family. You need to love them no matter what.

A long time lurker of this subreddit.
Just want to know what folks opinions are on grabbing a Jeep Wrangler from Facebook Marketplace over places like private dealerships that post listing on like CarGurus.
What's something to be aware of?
There are three people at the dinner table: my father-in-law, my wife, and I. Our son (7yr. old) just walked off after finishing his meal. The kid cleans up after himself which was great. However, I saw our son come back into the kitchen with the TV remote in his hand. I raised my voice, but I was NOT yelling at him, exclaiming that he shouldn't be watching anymore screen time.
For the record, our son was playing on the Nintendo Switch starting around 11:30am and played through the whole time while the family was watching the FIFA finals up until dinner time, which was around 6:30pm. I looked at my wife when I told her, before we started dinner, "he needs to get off the screen." She then tells our son, "you need to be off after dinner."
So, when our kid held the remote, wife didn't flinch and told me, "he is just switching to his account to watch."
It is now, 10pm. I am working on work stuff and the wife storms in and told me I should "behave" myself next time in front of the father-in-law?? I was telling our son, to NOT use the TV.
What went wrong here????
UPDATE:
okay, before this goes south....pitch didn't go up. It was more of a tone change. I'm trying to be firm.
The most recent repair was an AC compressor which cost us $820. Parts, labor, and AC service.
We wanted to hold it off, but the shop fixed it without us confirming it. Never going back to that shop ever again. But curious, was this too high of a price for repair from a shop in general?
UPDATE: We bought this Crosstrek in 2017 when it had 28k miles on it. COVID definitely kept it low when we were transitioning to working from home for several years.
