My idea on a more "lighthearted" version of Nightcord at 25:00.

Basically, I'm using N25 members to create a more lighthearted version of the said unit in a way that their songs are still usually dark, but members themselves are not (at least when compared to their original versions). Kind of like Roselia from BanG Dream!, if you will (if that's the right comparison).

"Music runs in the House of Yoisaki."

"Ever since the history of Japan was written, my family always had immense talent in music and they would be able to perform variety of music depending on their personalities."

"And so do I."

  1. Kanade Yoisaki - She's still reserved and quiet, but definitely much happier than the original version (kind of like a cross between her original personality and World Link 2 personality). At the beginning of the story, she graduated (from) a music college with top marks at the age of mere 16 and is trying to find her own music. Obviously, both of her mom and dad are alive and well and are very supportive of her with her dad being a renowned film and TV series score composer. Her only pain is the fact that her grandfather on her mother's side, who was also a renowned musician, passed away at the age of 76 due to an unspecified illness a year before graduation. While her musical talent is unparalleled (at least among main characters), she's kind of stupid when it comes to other aspects as she entered the college at the very young age. Her home is a large Japanese-style mansion and her room looks like a Japanese version (if that's the right way to describe it) of the original version of her room.

  2. Ena Shinonome - A family friend of Kanade. In fact, Yoisaki household and Shinonome household are pretty close to each other and Ena is essentially the reason why Kanade didn't feel alone when she was in college as they spent so much time with each other. She's very interested in yamikawaii fashion and while her dad is kind of strict, he's in good terms with his children. Her relationship with Akito is mostly the same as the original.

  3. Mizuki Akiyama - Aside from few details (like having no identity issue), Mizuki is pretty much the same from the original. While her grades are consistently solid, some don't exactly like her because she's an infamous troll and keeps on ditching classes because she can't be bothered.

  4. Mafuyu Asahina - She probably has the biggest personality difference from the original version among 4 members. Her "outside self" is mostly the same as the original, but her "true self" is a lot more comical as she likes really dark, bleak, and depressing media (in fact, she spends most of her free time enjoying those stuffs and her room is filled with posters and collections of such things including a poster of a film that clearly reeks of Terrifier) and on top of that, she has such a blatant "middle school syndrome". Her parents are okay with Mafuyu being like that, but they do have ONE concern - outside the school, she's LAZY! In fact, her parents always tell her that she should start thinking about her future, but she's too lazy to find one. Kind of like a "darker" version of Umaru Doma.

SEKAI - Their SEKAI is Gothic Mansion SEKAI originated from Kanade's heart. VS variants in this SEKAI look pretty similar to VS variants of Empty SEKAI from the original except Miku's hair is clearly teal (and their clothes are in better shape) and their personality, while still calm, is much closer to original VS members, though KAITO is still a bit strict. Main VS members are Miku, Rin, and Len.

In the end, they manage to form their own unit and when Kanade says that her friends are going to work on a lot of "dark music", her family are okay with this and even give the said unit their blessings - and Mafuyu's parents even thank Kanade for helping their daughter to finally have a vision for her future.

Kanade: "We're going to be a fully independent music quartet and this will not be an easy path. Our music will be dark and thoughtful music about the meaning of life and death along with other subjects as well, but with a sense of hope included in ways that they can heal inner wounds of people who listen to our music - and yes, Mafuyu, we WILL work on some very bleak music too from time to time, so don't you worry. So without further ado, are you ready to give it all... for Nocturnal Nightingales? 😎😎😎😎😎"

Ena, Mizuki, and Mafuyu: "We're ready as you are! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩"

Yeah, sorry for a massive rambling, but I just wanted to get my idea out on what if N25 members had more "lighthearted" backgrounds and personalities. 😅😅😅😅😅

Two focus songs created by respective same composers! Which ones do you prefer between the two?

Note: I might've misspelled or misnamed(?) some of the producers' names. I apologize in advance.

Sometimes, a producer ends up working on two different focus songs. These examples include:

  1. Nayutalien: MORE! JUMP! MORE! and Opera! Space Opera!
  2. R Sound Design: Forward and blender (with Komedawara)
  3. 40mP: Color of Drops and Connecting the Stars (with Hifumi)
  4. Sasanomaly: Kanadetomosusora and Transmitting Temperature
  5. Takaaki Natsushiro: From Tokyo (with Takuya Watanabe) and Killer (with Heavenz)
  6. Police Piccadilly: Beat Eater and Eleventh
  7. aqu3ra (also known as Aqu3ra): icedrop and Transparent Palette
  8. Yunosuke: Awake Now and Supernova (with haruno)
  9. Karasuya-sabou: Showtime Ruler and Polar Star
  10. nulut: Lower one's eyes and EYELID
  11. TOKOTOKO: Worldwide Wander and The Place Closest to the Stars
  12. WONDERFUL★OPPORTUNITY!: Theme of Niccori^^ Survey Team and Seibai ItaAAAAAsu!
  13. NILFRUITS: Tricologe and Haven
  14. Chinozo: Flyer! and Anti you
  15. Mikito-P: Peaky Peaky and Colorful Foundation
  16. jon-YAKITORY: City and Fighter
  17. ShishiShishi: Hollow and The Puppet's Reality
  18. Ryo Haruka: Kashika and Wings of Song (Full version will not be available until further notice)
  19. Guiano: We are and Voice of the Beam
  20. Yuri Kuriyama: filament fever and Flower Knot

I didn't add Gohan Harumaki's songs because Moonlight was apparently largely made by another producer.

In any case, between these songs, which ones do you like better respectively and why? As for me:

  1. Nayutalien: Opera! Space Opera! for sure. Not only it actually feels like a Nayutalien song, but it really IS Emu's post-3rd anniversary character song.
  2. R Sound Design: blender by a pretty small margin. I feel like this one really captures Toya's "deeper thoughts" post-3rd anniversary.
  3. 40mP: Another hard one. I'm picking Color of Drops.
  4. Sasanomaly: Kanadetomosusora. It's basically what I consider as Kanade's character song.
  5. Takaaki Natsushiro: From Tokyo. I see this one as Saki's character song.
  6. Police Piccadilly: Beat Eater. I'm really digging this one.
  7. aqu3ra: Transparent Palette. I view this one as Honami's post-3rd anniversary character song.
  8. Yunosuke: Oof! This one's so difficult to figure out since I see Awake Now as An's character song and Supernova as Haruka's post-3rd anniversary character song. By a very small margin, I'm picking Supernova.
  9. Karasuya-sabou: Yeah, this one's too easy. Showtime Ruler is Rui's character song, so it easily wins.
  10. nulut: EYELID mostly because this one feels more catchy.
  11. TOKOTOKO: As much as I feel like The Place Closest to the Stars captures Honami's "deeper thoughts" post-3rd anniversary, I have to give this one to Worldwide Wander.
  12. WONDERFUL★OPPORTUNITY!: Guys. This one's too obvious. Theme of Niccori^^ Survey Team is THE Emu song. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  13. NILFRUITS: Haven. I see this as Toya's post-3rd anniversary character song.
  14. Chinozo: Flyer! since I feel like that one is Kohane's character song.
  15. Mikito-P: Yeah, Peaky Peaky is indeed PEAK. It's basically Shiho's character song.
  16. jon-YAKITORY: Hmm... this one's tricky, but I'll pick City for this one.
  17. ShishiShishi: The Puppet's Reality because as much as like Hollow and sees that as Toya's character song, its KAITO tuning isn't very well done. Besides, I see the former as Rui's post-3rd anniversary character song.
  18. Ryo Haruka: Since Wings of Song doesn't have a full version yet, it's kind of hard to judge which one is better, but for now, I'm going to go with Kashika. If that song gets a full version, I'll let you guys know in the comment section.
  19. Guiano: Another tough one since I view We are as Shizuku's character song and Voice of the Beam as Kohane's post-3rd anniversary character song. Once again, by a pretty small margin, I'm picking Voice of the Beam.
  20. Yuri Kuriyama: Yeah, I'm easily picking filament fever on the ground that I see that song as Tsukasa's post-3rd anniversary character song.

But these are simply my takes, so now you guys can pick ones that you liked better.

P.S. Be respectful and please don't attack me for this! 😨😨😨😨😨

We usually associate Kohane Azusawa as an example of how looks can be very deceiving, but I just realized that there's another character who can fit into that - and that character is Emu Otori.

At first glance, Emu is probably one of the silliest, most childish, and the craziest madgirls in the entire game - and to be fair, she IS indeed that, but she's also very wholesome and frighteninigly intelligent and this is very important because characters like her tend to be pretty stupid, but Emu went against that trope by having her to be highly intelligent (academically, in fact). But there's also another side of her that people tend to forget about - she can be surprisingly mature when necessary.

Yes, both of these cards depict the exact same person. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

As you can see here, while Emu is usually VERY silly, there are times when she puts on a "mature face" including when she does a business presentation like what's depicted in the left card. And this isn't the only example when Emu was depicted to be surprisingly mature as it happened in World Link 3. >!What happened in that event was that a girl named Mimi was having an emotional crisis after passing of her grandmother and Emu was there to comfort her by telling a story about how she also had a moment of emotional crisis quite a while after her grandfather passed away, but was able to move on and how she came to terms with a loss that she experienced. I usually see Emu as a high intelligence and low wisdom build, but moments like that make(s) me question if Emu truly lacks wisdom after all.!<

I honestly find it fascinating that how a character who seems to be such a silly AND crazy maniac can also be surprisingly mature at times. It really goes on to show that Project Sekai knows how to make characters more stand out than just being well-known character archetypes.

What do you guys think?

P.S. Be respectful and please don't attack me for this! 😨😨😨😨😨

This probably sounds stupid, but I kind of have an idea on how the story of 'A Quiet Place Part 3' might unfold.

Given the photograph that appears to be depicting Manhattan:

https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fjl42th3m4b0h1.jpeg

...my guess is that this is about mankind trying to take back the mainland after years of careful planning. I said years because, keep in mind, these child actors have grown a lot since the first film, so a time skip is kind of necessary at this point. I can imagine that they're going to take refuge to an island with civilization largely intact (since these monsters can't swim at all) before finally starting a war against these monsters.

What do you guys think? Also, if they really DO end up staying in an island for several years to prepare, where do you think they might go to and why?

...I will say that it is an excellent film even if it might be bit of an acquired tastes when compared to ones that were made by Miyazaki.

The film is basically an animated regular drama film about a teenage girl who loves reading books and then proceed to write a story of her own after a certain encounter. Any of the fantasy scenes that take place during the film only occur during imagination scenes. Also, I actually watched this film in Japanese version because I feel like this works better in that version, especially with Country Road scene.

Now, does this work well in IMAX? Well, similar to Kiki's Delivery Service, it has some scenes where "cel outlines" are visible, but it's not as obvious as it was before AND aside from that, the animation looks great overall. At the same time, however, it is a pretty slow film and aside from scenery shots and imagination scenes, it doesn't exactly have a whole lot of notable scenes that would stand out in IMAX. Having said that, I can imagine that some of you guys probably DO think that this works well in IMAX and it should be noted that this could be coming from a biased point of view because not only I've watched other animated films that worked well in IMAX like The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Hoppers, and Kiki's Delivery Service, but I also watched this in IMAX only a day after I watched the Wachowski's cult favorite in IMAX - and that cult favorite... is Speed Racer. If nothing else, I'm pretty sure that the next Ghibli x IMAX is going to be something that works even better in the said format.

I made Student C and A as despicable as possible and depicted them as having no remorse whatsoever.

u/Block-Busted — 19 days ago

I couldn't find a suitable background for afterlife, so I decided to use one of the VIRTUAL SINGER backgrounds for substitute.

Also, I do apologize if some of the poses or facial expressions are out of place since I'm not too familiar with how to make a touching SEKAI Story.

u/Block-Busted — 20 days ago

I know that this one probably involves a lot more out-of-character moments, but I still can't imagine ANY of the main characters maybe besides Mafuyu actually liking Mind Brand in an unironic fashion. 😅😅😅😅😅

Also, the whole rights issue regarding Saihate is something that I made up entirely.

But seriously, we need proper Kohane, An, Emu, and Nene interactions. Maybe we could add Kanade there as well. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

So far, there are 6 focus songs in this game in which game versions and full versions have same lengths. These are:

  1. 88☆彡 by Wonderlands×Showtime and KAITO
  2. Retainer Supplanting His Lord by Vivid BAD SQUAD and Kagamine Rin
  3. blender by Vivid BAD SQUAD and MEIKO
  4. Bake no Hana (Monstrous Flower) by Nightcord at 25:00 and KAITO
  5. D/N/A by Nightcord at 25:00 and Kagamine Rin
  6. Tobidase! Wonder-Pyoi (Jump Out! Wonderhop) by Wonderlands×Showtime and Kagamine Rin

How would you rank these songs and why? You can vote for one of them here:

Your favorite 'Project Sekai' focus song where the game version and the full version have same length?

And while we're at it, how would you rank them from darkest to most lighthearted and why? As for me:

  1. blender
  2. 88☆彡
  3. Retainer Supplanting His Lord
  4. D/N/A
  5. Bake no Hana (Monstrous Flower)
  6. Tobidase! Wonder-Pyoi (Jump Out! Wonderhop)

By the way, there's only one reason why Tobidase! Wonder-Pyoi is at the bottom:

"It's too short!" - Slinky Dog, Toy Story (1995)

Yeah, I feel like that song would've worked better if it was at least 160 seconds long. It's really a shame too because I actually liked that song the best out of these 6 if I ignore the runtime issue. As for how I would rank them from darkest to most lighthearted... I'm honestly not entirely sure yet, but I think all of us can agree that Bake no Hana is the darkest and Tobidase! Wonder-Pyoi is the most lighthearted. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

In the previous round, Mizuki Akiyama got 92 votes and Airi Momoi got 39 votes, meaning that Mizuki won Quarterfinal Round 2! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

And now, we're entering Quarterfinal Round 3, which is Honami Mochizuki vs. Shizuku Hinomori, both of whom are tallest girls in the game AND have their own brand of cuteness as Honami has more cute aesthetics whereas Shizuku may look coolness-coded, but is actually very silly (in most amusing ways imaginable). You can vote for one of these girls here:
