Breakdown of what I carry:
- Trayvax Axis Ti Wallet: I’ve had it thirteen years. I got tired of leather/cloth wallets wearing out. This BAMF has survived.
- Pet First Aid Kit/Manual: pretty self explanatory.
- Olight Otool: this little carabiner/multitool came free when Olight fucked up my order. It’s been on my hip for a few years. It seems tough and well made.
- Rovyvon A4 Angel Eyes Pro: Basically my ride or die light. If i carry no other light, I carry this versatile, powerful bastard for darker settings.
- Keysmart Rugged: This keeps my keys organized and protects them from all kinds of bullshit. It’s survived warehouses, paper mills, steel mills, and so much more.
- TiSur Milled Ti Medium Pill Fob: I’m old. I take medication.
- Hydroflask 64OZ/Juglug: This setup comes with its own shoulder strap. I use this to keep myself and the pooches hydrated, in concert with the collapsible water dish.
- Maxpedition Lunada Gearslinger: Of all the tacticool man purses I’ve owned, this is the fave. It’s tough, well thought out, comfortable, and spacious.
Not much more I can ask of a bag.
- Anker Prime Power Bank: Holds a ton of juice, it’s relatively tough, and it keeps all my gadgets running. They make a fine cable, too.
- Maxpedition Double Decker EDC Pouch: This is where the Wera screwdriver and Kimber Pepper blaster live. The former has come in handy in the strangest ways, while I have (quite luckily) never had to use the pepper spray.
- Poop Bags: Clean up after your fucking dogs, people. Pretty simple.
- Maratac Heirloom Compass: Occasionally comes in handy on the trails, but it’s mostly a good luck charm.
- Small iWalk Powerbank: This is basically just an emergency backup to charge my phone. Holds an alright amount of power for its size. It’s pretty lightweight, too.
- Survival Frog Plasma Lighter: I have other lighters that run petroleum fuels, but I carry this one as a backup. Never know when you’re gonna need combustion, after all.
- Texas Built Leather All In One Organizer: The owner of the company is a dear friend, full disclosure. This handy MFer holds my light, my Knipex pliers, and a pen. I rotate my lights, but the Stiletto Pro 2 is badass. I carry it for walks at night. The pliers are worth their weight in gold; they kick multitool ass. I find them handy for tinkering on various things.
- Maratac/CountyComm Mini Ti Hooligan Bar: I usually carry a pry of some sort. They come in handy when my son locks himself in the bathroom, among other times.
- CountyComm Aluminum Embassy Pen: It writes well and feels tough/nice. I rotate my pens, because I’m just that much of a consoomer.
- Al Mar SERE T: A worthy successor to the OG S2K, I carry a manual or a fixed blade as a backup. I love the look of this piece, the ergos are great, and the quality is there.
- Field Notes 48 Page Memo Boom: when you have the memory of a goldfish like I do, a tough, compact notebook is invaluable for keeping shit punctual and organized.
- Protech TR-5 Operator: Okay, this is a great knife, but I’m mostly carrying it for shits and giggles, but the quick deployment of a switchblade comes in handy.

For example, for the longest time, when it came to production knives, the trinity was Hinderer, Strider, and CRK. So, bearing that in mind, which three slip joint makers belong in a trinity of their own?

The knife is a Svörd Von Tempsky Bowie. The cheese is a whiskey-washed farmhouse cheddar, and the meats are milano truffle ham, some red wine and garlic soppressata, and of course, last but not least, some goddamn gabagool.
I’ve been bit by the slippie bug; which ones do you guys like? The first knife is an Advanced Knife Bro Stumplifter in snakewood, and the second is a Forge De Laguiole 12 CM Forged Tradition in Thuya Burl.
The full name is “Skullcrusher’s Xtreme Blade…” kinda silly… but it can put in the work.
