Everyone who binged during last years’ holiday’s, what have you fixed so far?

Last year’s holidays at Lowe’s were awesome, what have y’all fixed/made/built, or done since then with the tools you purchased, and how happy are you bought them, or maybe not so happy?

Any pros cons or hindsight’s you’d wanna talk about?

The flex tower lights have been Fkn awesome for me, along with the rest of the tools. No issues, & no complaints so far.

How do y’all carry your drywall tools around?

Here’s how I lug my drywall tools around. What apparatus do you carry your wall flattening tools around in?

Primed and orbital sanded walls, need advice on reducing any sheen for final coat

Hey y’all, I need advice on whether to prime this room again, then sand, and add the final coat. The other option would be add two coats of the final paint color instead? The final paint is semi gloss paint and it’s almond colored. Pic of the final color included in the last pic, it’s semi gloss and almond colored.

I’m just trying to prevent sheen, I added a lot of mud towards the top of the walls to make them more flat for crown molding.

Are there drywaller’s who are blind?

Honestly curious, if being blind and doing drywall is a thing. Because you can feel the walls after your coats dry and know where to sand with a sanding pole. And the other senses are more enhanced. Beethoven was deaf and he played the piano pretty good.🤷🏼

Pico Brew Equipment Giving Errors - Need Help

Pico Brewers ……. I could use a bit of assistance. I have home brewed for quite a while, but am now trying to bring online some Pico Equipment. The first attempt is with a Pico S (the box is printed with Pico Pro). The unit is new out of the box and the equipment listed in the instructions is consistent with the Pico Pro instruction manual and not the Pico S manual (with serving keg and more parts).

The unit is running off the Pico S/Pro firmware using a Raspberry Pi. The Pico unit and the updated firmware have already had a ‘handshake’. I have successfully run the Initial Clean function. Now I am trying to run a simulated Manual Brew using water only.

I have seen some YouTube videos which place a grain bag and water in the Step Filter and then trying to understand the Pico instruction manual (for a Pak) which loads the water in the keg.

Either way, when running the first brew step (mash) set at a 147F hold for 60 minutes, things seem to initiate followed by an error soon appearing instructing me to make certain the keg connectors are properly fastened. When I continue, the same error reappears.

If I were to try and take a guess, I might say that the water in the Step Filter is not leaving for circulation to the keg and for return But water will circulate from the keg into the Step Filter.

Any insights on how I may get past this obstacle?

Why is my Omni v3 doing this at night?

I got up on a 22ft ladder earlier and moved the cam a bit from the exterior lights, and I did a good job it’s a lot better. I also turned on and off infrared and this blue shit is still there.

How do I get rid if it?

Just added a shelf to this rolling cart dolly

I use the crate on the dolly, while working around the house. I fill it with my tools and random stuff I’m using or working with. I like it a lot. I needed extra space to get more things off the floor and this was my solution. I took the shelf off my stack pack I had it on. If you wanted to copy the idea, I listed the material and tools needed in an older post. You can buy those foldable ones from Amazon that attach to stack pack boxes as well.

It doesn’t tip, just load up the crate with a ton of crap lol.

How to clean your baseboards fast with flex lol

I haven’t tried it yet, but this was reddits solution in another thread. I’ve always used a Colgate generic toothbrush and simple green. But I will say I’m using it to clean those dusty af stack packs I bought, and it’s performing almost as good but better than other thicker types of non marring bristles I’ve used. Just don’t go full tilt on the trigger lol, baby press it..

Got em while they’re hot!

Shoutout to the dude who posted the deal on these the other day. I’ve been waiting since the holiday sales for these to drop in price at my local Lowe’s. They’ve always been full price or $150 I think.

How many stack packs could a stack pack pack, if a stack pack could stack packs?

Edit: Gosh dangit they’re missing the metal security bars. So someone prrly just took them a long long long time ago. Man, I could’ve maybe got an extra 5-10% off fml.

Noticed a flash sale in Amazon flex store - prime week tip

I know prime week is upon us, there was a flash sale sale this morning on an item, so I anticipate there will be more. I use the app “slick deals” kinda like the old website “fatwallet,” and users will post a few flex flash deals. That’s where I saw the one earlier but the deals dead now.

Slick deals is how I came across all bogo deals and asking the manger for % off. It’s an easier solution than scrolling through Amazon imo. Saves time. Just trying to help anyone out trying to get a bargain on flex tools. 👍

Trick so tower light power cable doesn’t accidentally unplug

I reorganized the room I’m redoing and working in for my rents, for better productivity, because I was tripping over stuff moving the step ladder around working on the walls. My tower lights cables come unplugged often because of the lose terminal connection on the light with various different brands of extension cords (some are way more snug than others on the terminal connectors.) I just wanted to share what I came up with as a cable management solution.

What ways do y’all prevent your cables from popping off ur power lights as ur working around a room or job-site?

How do you manage/use critical alerts? They’re driving me nuts.

I have 9 cams around the house, and I set up the push notifications, and adjusted zones by masking stuff to avoid false flags. I changed the interval of the push notifications to 120 seconds, and changed it to only notify if a human is in the frame for 7 seconds. And a 24/7 schedule.

I have the critical alerts set up for 3 cams, front door, back door, and driveway. The past 24 hours my phone dings all the freaking time. Is there a better setup, how do you all avoid this issue I’m encountering? Should I just turn critical alerts off, or only use it on maybe the front door?

Just looking for some help and suggestions. It’s a nice feature, I’d like to try and use it, without my phone going off constantly.

I knew buying two tower lights was a good decision!

I’m redoing a room in the house we’ve lived in for 20 years. So I’m sanding/skim coating the walls, and was only using 1 tower light, and I needed more light to see more shadows and imperfections on the walls. Light bulb goes off, “I’ve prepared for this moment!”

I scrambled downstairs and grabbed the 2nd tower light, that’s been idly standing by just waiting for its time to shine!

Just realized I can charge my phone on the tower light!

I didn't even realize it, I'm doing drywall and painting so everything is off the walls, and I had my phone charging in the other room. I just moved my tower light and realized there's a USB port on it lol.

Electric toothbrush vs regular toothbrush for cleaning baseboard?

Has anyone tried this, if so what were the differences between the two? I might try attaching a brush to my multi tool or small sawza and test it out.
