Something I don’t see discussed

For those who have faith in God, does afib impact it?

I struggle because I was diagnosed aged 22 and I am now 33. I’ve had 2 ablations and get an episode every 6-8 months that converts with pill in pocket method. My afib is extremely symptomatic and the meds give me side effects. So it’s a choice of bad and bad.

I find this disease is needless suffering. And it’s really impacted my faith. It’s not God that gets me back to NSR, it’s doctors and medication. But I also have experienced God in big extreme ways like when I had a blood clot the year prior to diagnosis. It didn’t go to my brain and stopped in the last place it could, my eye. I lost part of my peripheral vision permanently, but it’s in the overlap of my 2 eyes so with both eyes open I see fully. What are the chances.

I really struggle with the concept of suffering. This life is full of suffering and why? What’s the point? It’s not just a me issue. Children die from cancer every day. The earthquakes that are happening. So much suffering that isn’t human made like war.

What are your thoughts and beliefs? This is not meant to be specifically religion based but simple believe in the divine and/or how the world works.

How to repair this?

I own a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I drive a lot of highway mileage. This paint damage is around the passenger headlamp on the quarter panel there. It couldn’t have been there long. Im guessing rocks from the highway may have caused this since I have a few surface level dings on my windshield. I have a couple questions I hope you all might provide some guidance.

  1. Is this just artificial paint damage?

  2. Is there a patch repair I can do? If so, please provide products and steps.

  3. Or should I just wait until it gets worse and do a whole quarter panel replacement? Obviously more expensive and I ideally don’t want to do that.

Thanks in advance!

Is it normal to think your cat is the cutest cat?

This is Gandalf the Grey. I call him Grey. I adopted him in the midst of my divorce last September. I saw him on the human society website and I just knew he was my cat. His one year adoptaversary is coming up.

I say it really took the last year to really learn each other. He isn’t overly affectionate but he does follow me around my apartment, sleeps with me at night, and generally stays close by. He greets me when I get home from work. He gave me a purpose and reason to get out of bed. I credit a big part of my healing due to him.

He is my first cat. We always had family pets and my ex did too, but no pets were just mine. It is just me and him. My family is close by so he gets visits from family and friends and he is totally a ham for them. He tends to be a little rougher with me and I assume that is because I am mom.

He has always been confident and came out his first day here. He uses the litter box like a champ. He also uses his scratch boxes and posts. He loves scratches on his head, chin, and cheeks. But no where else. He has never turned his head away to food. He LOVES food. Human or cat. So whatever a-hole most likely dumped him, I hope you get what you deserve. This guy is a star and deserves all the treats. I love him so much. Every day my love grows a little more. Is it normal to feel like your heart is bursting with cuteness overload every time you walk by your cat?

Apartment renting - need advice on where to live in the area

Hello everyone,

I am a single female in my early 30’s who may be getting a new job in the Henrico area. I’ve been a commuter to Downtown Richmond for 3 years and haven’t made the jump to move yet. But the new job would be further away so I’d have to relocate.

I’ve researched apartment complexes but it seems they have a lot of negative reviews. So I wanted to ask on here.

Preferences: Quiet, Clean, less kids, safe, cat friendly, and laundry units in the apartment

Please share your positive and negative experiences. What complex you recommend and what you don’t. Thank you in advance!

Edit: I am looking in the West End area. Job is off of Mayland Drive. I do not currently live in Richmond or close by as I’m commuting 1 hour. Ideally would have rent closer to $1400 and don’t need a ton of amenities since I doubt I’ll use much of those.

Relocating Possibly due to Job Opportunity - Seeking input

Hi everyone!

I currently work for the State in Richmond but am a commuter about an hour away. I’ve been doing this commute for 3 years. I went through personal life drama so I was thankful to land with the parents to rebuild, heal, and breathe. I know so so many people don’t have this.

I’m interviewing on Monday with a job in Henrico. I personally work in Downtown Richmond right now. It is a much smaller agency but the job seems to align with my career growth. If I get it at the pay I need, I would have to relocate since it’s 1.5 hours from where I live.

I’ve found only one seemingly reputable apartment complex close by in Henrico, the Champions Club. It does check all my boxes which is reasonably priced and laundry machines in unit. I am looking for something for maybe 1-2 years where I can learn the suburbs of Richmond and then ultimately probably buy a townhome of my own. I do like the Henrico area because if I returned to work in Downtown Richmond it’s only 20 minutes away.

  1. What are your general opinions on living in Henrico?

  2. Do you know of any other reputable and safe apartment complexes?
