Complete beginner

Hi hello, I'm sure youve heard this story before. Ive gone to reddit because I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information online, some good some bad haha. Id like to start my hydroponics journey when I can, so if any advice from the very basics to advanced would be greatly appreciated

Not sure if location matters but id be growing on a balcony, or inside. hopefully sun facing on the balcony but wont be sure (ill be moving soon)

I live in a sub tropical area, so summer is anywhere from 25-35c, humid and sometimes dry heat.

Im good to grow anything but specifically, herbs, vegetables, fruits, etc 😂 so yeah.. anything lol.

Any specific guide reccomendations i can search, and personal experiences of what to do / what not to do would be great. thank you!

New-ish to balcony gardening

Heya, this post is kinda a research this now and do later 😂

Ive gardened on a balcony before but felt like I wasted so much money just on getting dirt, and the whole raised beds, or pots etc. I tried to do due diligence and I even halved the amount id used by putting rocks in the bottom (someone probably cringed) but i worked with what i had back then. Id like to try again (Will move to another apartment hopefully soon) And need some real good advice.

For weather, where im from is relatively nice all year around, so lows being 9c in winter, highs being 30c in summer, but spring-autumn are the nicest and most balanced. Hopefully ill be able to get a sun facing spot, and basing how my old place used to be, id be getting the most direct sun in the afternoon (3pm onwards).

For the things id like to grow, Im thinking herbs would be the "easiest" since most can grow without too much fuss (based on previous experienced i grew basil, mint, chives)

I tried to grow strawberries but had a massive problem on little green aphids, and no matter what i did, soapping them, washing, even using the right spray for plants (safe for plants and humans) they absolutely infested my strawberries haha, who knew aphids could get up so high? I did check them before I got them too.

I also tried growing mini tomato's, but they just never bloomed properly, so i guess wrong season. I would be up to plant pretty much anything, no trees of course 😂 And also open to hydroponics

But yeah! sorry for the info dump, for me gardening was very therapeutic and I just would like to try again. I look forward to any advice anyone has.

Offering: English | Seeking: Mandarin, Korean

Hi there, a bit about me and the languages I study.

I started studying Chinese Mandarin a year and a half ago, I have not been consistent at all, but its stuck with me. I started learning because of interests in travel, language exchange, culture, and many other things, I havent officially passed HSK1 2.0, but thats relatively my level, so I know around 150 words give or take (Do we count.. counting? haha)

I also was studying Korean early.. 2017 most likely, been so long I can hardly remember, I had never formally studied it, just used google, the lack of resources online, and chatter with people on other apps. While korean isnt my primarily language I would like to learn, I would still enjoy keeping my very rusty skills up to date while offering to help natives with their english.

A bit about me and my hobbies: Obviously language learning, I enjoy reading (I've read 190 fiction books in one year pfft, seems I like romance ones!) I do game when Im able to, (ones like minecraft, terraria, destiny 2, sometimes overwatch etc). I also enjoy cooking and baking, photography and well, just learning whatever I can.

Who I prefer to exchange language with: 18+ any gender is fine, just please be patient and kind like ill try to be with you, I have some health issues and anxieties when speaking another language, so I hope to get better and knowing people won't judge me and are just glad Im learning their native language. I can do voice notes quite often, but calls are a little tricky. I also studied TEFL certificate but I havent completed it because of financial reasons, so close, yet so far~

I look forward to hearing back from whoever is interested!

26F Aus. Why hello again, looking for friends!

Hi hi! I'm a 26-year-old from Australia, I dont mind any region or gender. Im active from 10am-7pm AEST, 18+ only, and my upper limit is 33.

And lately I've had a lot of extra time on my hands, so I'm on the hunt for some genuine people to chat with, bond over shared interests, and maybe pick up a new hobby or two along the way. I'm not the most hardcore gamer out there (my energy levels have other plans most days because of my health, lol), but I do enjoy hopping on for a casual session every now and then when the mood strikes.

A little about me and what I'm into:

Reading & writing – always down to swap book recs. I read fiction; romance, fantasy, sports etcetc

Gaming – Destiny 2, Terraria, minecraft, risk of rain 2, PEAK, Phasmophobia, lethal company. And many more, always up for trying new games.

Baking & cooking, Photography

Learning languages – currently deep in my Mandarin era (When my brain functions enough to learn), so if you're learning too (or fluent and want to help a beginner out) that'd be amazing

What I'm hoping to find here is genuine connection, people who are happy to put a bit of effort into conversation rather than one-word replies. Respect goes a long way with me, and in return I promise to bring the same energy back. Whether you want to talk about your favorite book or interests, show off your latest bake, geek out over games or just vibe, I'm here for it.

If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, don't be shy, send a message! Looking forward to meeting some new people. And please, in your intro message put effort into it. 💜

Have a great day/night wherever you are! 🌙☀️

Can't quite quit

Hey there, I've been playing destiny 2 since late 2018, it became "that game" for me, I've had countless amazing raids, met awesome people.. And I cant quite quit yet, so im looking for people to play with on occasion (schedule and health are fickle) and even if I can't play, id love to have people to chat with. I used to teach raids a lot, same with dungeons so im always up to help with that. I might not be up to date with meta-weapons, but id love to chat!
