P1530 Code—should I tow to shop?

2014 Boxster 981, base. My CEL came on and I checked it out with my code reader. P1530. The warning gave me “possible to drive” and I’ve already got an appointment at my shop (20 mi). Should I be okay driving it (haven’t noticed any issues idling/accelerating) or should I bite the bullet and tow it?

My first Porsche and I’ve yet to have an issue like this otherwise I’d feel a little more confident making a decision.

My Post Package Loss Fall Chill Haul

I am pretty sad about that Pucci cardigan being lost, but I found some other cool sweaters. Of note there's a red v-neck cashmere J.Crew sweater in one of my favorite cuts that I almost bought retail one year but held off, a dirt cheap J.Crew cashmere long sleeve grey flawed gem with at least one moth hole that I am going to embroider over (did this to a J.Crew cashmere sweater I bought at Crossroads and love it!), and that horizontal broken stripe sweater that brings to mind my favorite opening titles for The Man with the Golden Arm.

I also picked up a few pairs of wide leg jeans (all J Brand) which might be my favorite fit. It's great because they're generally really friggin' cheap!

May this package be guided by laser sight and GPS!

Hoping my package isn’t lost!

Last update earlier this week out of Dallas by FedEx. Hoping it’s just some massive delay ☹️

My most daring cup holder escapade.

Luckily it didn’t spill a drop. Definitely had a couple spots where I supported it though 😬

(Yes I finally remembered to take the temp registration off too)

I had a NDE in 2011 following an OD

I had relapsed in 2010 and had a routine of polysubstance abuse that was hiding bigger issues. I remember suddenly feeling like something wasn't right and getting very very ill, sicker than I ever had before. I remember feeling myself rise up slowly and bump against the ceiling as I watched myself vomit and retch what seemed like endlessly. The me floating above was sober and wise, looking down with a caring maternal concern but being unable to do do anything to change the course of events. The out of body me was even wearing a different outfit. I saw myself incapacitated and unresponsive and this care turned to horror when I realized I would have to leave myself collapsed on the floor to whatever outcome. I left my body there, taking all the sagely knowledge I couldn't apply with me. Saying goodbye to myself was a gut punch--I had no clue what was going to happen next.

Black spread over my vision and white static invaded my head. This white was so very sweet and comforting. I would have liked to remain there forever, never hurting ever again. I felt so connected to the world and so understanding. I was at peace. But the time here was short and the white static expanded and transformed into a snowy scene, like a Grandma Moses painting devoid of figures. From above I saw a small me, trudging to work through the snowbanks and improperly dressed for the weather. I saw myself collapse and get mobbed by little white flakes, eager to blanket me completely. The white warmth turned frigid and exploded into a warm damp dark that swallowed me whole. This descent was completely terrifying and silent. Nothing escaped this darkness. A deeper cold dark enveloped this one and I remember the unfathomable terror as it wiped me out like letters on a chalkboard.

When I woke up I thought I had died, that I was somehow in God's waiting room (I was raised Atheist and am mostly still one) and I was afraid to touch the walls in case they dissolved like a dream. I was basically terrified until I realized how nice and solid my house was and I remembered every little bit of that experience. I think the infinite wisdom I had during the OBE was a huge marker in my drive (and success!) in getting clean. And the beauty and love in my time in that white warm light. I didn't have anyone try to talk to me, no life review as far as I can tell, but that light filled me with the love and happiness I craved so badly. Maybe I took a piece of it with me because so much changed after that. I fought to get well, stay well--and did.

It was all so terrifying and beautiful. Thank you for letting me share.

Finally got to do the thing (and parked the wrong way)

Quick grocery run leads to elation. There’s a handful of CR-Zs in my town and I always get excited when I see one.

I drained the bathtub

Tell Liquorice she is such a brave girl because I had to pull a tick off of her. She is indoor only and the little bastard was latched on behind her nice soft ears in that nice soft patch of fur. She didn’t even flinch when I pulled it off.

The tub was a different matter, of course.

Every time I throw a sheet over this sofa someone redecorates for me.

The Ego Orb tears into you!

One more for the Earthbound fleet! My first CR-Z had GIYGAS until it got totaled, now that lives appropriately on my Boxster! Hm, what's next... spankety spankety spankety!
