Not using my specs to my full potential
I’ve had this problem with my PC for a while now. I bought it from the Facebook Marketplace (my first PC) for $150, and the seller claimed to have installed a fresh Windows OS. However, the problem is that my PC jumps in performance, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to fix it.
I’ve asked my friends for advice, but they suggested updating the BIOS, changing the RAM speed, and downloading the latest drivers. Still, nothing seems to work. It’s like when I have my PC running at high settings, the FPS drops, but for some reason, the percentage of the GPU and RAM goes down to the level it would have if they were supposed to support the graphics. I’m not sure what’s causing this, but I feel like I can pull more power from my PC than it currently is.
I’ve attached some pictures to illustrate the issue. There seems to be something blocking the CPU, but it’s only at 56%. I’ll also add my PC specifications to this message. I’m hoping that you guys can help me figure out what’s causing this problem. It happens with almost all the games I play, so I don’t think it’s the game settings themselves. Any tips on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. I’ve already updated the drivers and the NVIDIA app that was downloaded when I updated the drivers.
