Poor choice

Poor choice

I walked past this at my big box hardware store. The engine was idling and didn’t appear to have anybody inside. Guess he thought idling meant he wasnt ‘parked’. Not sure why he couldn’t have parked in the loading zone like everybody else. It was gone when I came out.

EDIT: forget to mention. Did not have handicapped plates or plaque.

Seeking Insight

I’m non-BPD and I have a totally honest question with no judgment.

When someone with BPD gets disregulated and falls into a very dark place, how much insight is there to want to return to baseline? My friend will crashout and be stuck and looping in a terrible place for days. It has to feel crushing but must be so hard to escape from it.

Unknown location at University of Virginia

This family photo was taken in 1959 at UVA. I was trying to identify the old well to see if it still exists on campus. I thought the rooms and railings across the roof edge looked just like the ones on The Lawn. But there are no white columns in front of the building. I searched the UVA online archives as well as G** Earth but can't find an area that looks like this.

Hey everyone.

Three days ago I had my 2^(ND) Core FOV done by Dr. Shakir and my gray octopus is completely gone, no frill--- I now have a PAIR of floater-free eyes! It’s been almost 2 years since the PVDs which gave me floaters and to finally have clear vision again is beyond words.

My path was slightly derailed when I had a retinal tear just after my 1^(st) FOV last September, which healed properly. Then, a fast-moving cataract appeared and I had the natural lens replaced with an IOL four 4 weeks ago. This journey from FOV-->TEAR-->CATARACT on one eye seemed scary and mysterious at first. But now that I’m on the other side – it’s morphed into a having a few boring, routine procedures. As Aldo Raine said: “It ain’t so bad”.

NOTE: Shakir is pioneering the use of Core FOVs for a long-ignored segment of the population. My hope and belief is one day the Floater-Only Vitrectomy will become a simple outpatient procedure covered by insurance. Pulsemedica looks promising and when its available there will be two solutions out there. To the sufferers: There's HOPE!
