I have been doing long term investing by myself for the past couple of years. Just “safe” stocks and not a lot of risks (I.e. VOO). I am now practicing swing trading using paper account. Just here looking for advice that might be helpful? Stocks I should research? How long should I practice before being ready to do this with real money?

I have a background in pediatric nursing and now a mom of 2. My kids had eczema so I have spent a lot of time looking at brands and finding the right clothing. This has become a hobby now and I’m always researching ideas. I always wanted to own a business but lacked any true “passions”. However, clothing brand for babies and kids has been in the back of my mind for the past 8 years (since I started working closely with kids). I was always just talked out of it as it will be “too difficult”. I’m at a stage in my life now where I can take time out for this venture and I would really appreciate insights and ideas. I live in Canada. Please try to be encouraging as most in my real life are skeptic about this idea.
