Bioshock 2 (Original) VorpX - VR Preview = 3D Screenshots & Videos
I wanted to share Bioshock 2 Orignal VR gameplay since a long time, but it's not easy to record.
I just produced a few 3D / VR screenshots and videos, as close as possible with my RTX4090.
(I used the Original version because the Remastered is actually worse in my opinion, especially in VR for a lot of reasons)
1) Adonis G3D VorpX FOV 110 half SBS :
My advice : watch with DeoVR :
- Zoom for a full field of view (on Quest 3 & Reverb G2 at least)
- set Half SBS (true gameplay is of course Full SBS but I can't record it).
It's perfectly clear, detailed & sharp when you actually play the game in VR, better than any VR mod, with the right scale and camera high, and smooth 90fps, but it's impossible to record. This is the closest I got (with the "generic 3D display" mode for monitor/projector) but of course it doesn't look as good.

The first time I saw this in full VR on the Reverb G2—even though I already knew the game really well—I realized I’d been holding my breath for a moment and had to tell myself: "It's just a game, you can breathe." But I still hesitated 😂

2) Fighting in Dionysus Park (more 3D than VR with less details and FOV) :

Watch this one unzoomed enough because the FOV is narrower. So Don't watch it as full VR. But you can still use DeoVR.
You can also watch this one with a 3D monitor/projector, since it's relatively low FOV.
You can see the original game animations (the spear gun makes ennemies fly and pins them on the walls). This doesn't work in the remastered version.
It was hard to play/aim, sorry, and I didn't configure my G502 mouse (to get a direct shortcut to every plasmids & weapons) and didn't play the game recently but I tried to show a few things even if it's not fast/precise gameplay.
I used a custom mod to drastically increase the difficulty and rebalance the game to make it really interresting even if you know it by heart. I can share it if you want.
VorpX is perfectly clear&sharp in VR on Reverb G2. You can see every details and graphics/textures are enhanced by automatic filters, it's stunning. The Full VR illusion (with 6dof) is perfect too. It's like beeing in Delta's body.
Bioshock 1 works too (it's great with Silver's mod which rebalance the end of the game and make the game more advanced / "immersive sim" like System Shock 2).
You can also play Bioshock Infinite of course, or a lot of other games (Dishonored, Dark Messiah, Farcry Primal, every Metro, Frontier of Pandora and Metro Exodus beeing the most beautiful currently, etc.)
Just ask if you need advice to configure it. I used hidden Bioshock 2 options here (shadows, fluid, tesselation). You have better dynamic lighting and shadows than in the Remastered version.
But you don't have motion aiming.

It remains one of my favorite VR scenes across all games (with VorpX on Reverb G2).
Note : it's even better in VR with the enhancement filters (and 3840p).
Usually, I’m more focused on gameplay, but I spent a lot of time here simply gazing at the view.
I also love the Volga (especially the Terminal and the Church), and the Aurora during daylight and the breathtaking views of frozen Moscow, which are better with Standard version (you can see further and there is no DOF/blur, also it's darker and more realistic, with better contrast between light and shadow).
This game was a blast in 2019 on my 1080p monitor / projector, but it's still a blast in 2026 in Full VR on Reverb G2. The reason is : it's probably the most optimized game ever.

It was great ! The game really has a Total Recall vibe in a lot of occasions.
