Has Anyone Regretted Going With the Cheapest Car Shipping Quote?
I'm getting ready to ship my car from California to New York and have started collecting quotes.
So far I've received around $1,200 through uShip, $1,380 from Montway, and about $950 from a smaller broker.
The $950 quote is what's making me hesitate. Part of me thinks it's just a good deal, while another part wonders if it's the kind of quote that ends up increasing once a carrier is assigned.
For those who've shipped a vehicle cross-country, how did you decide whether a quote was legitimately competitive or too good to be true?
Did your final price match the original estimate, and were there any warning signs during the booking process that you'd pay closer attention to if you had to do it again?
