never have I wanted to punt a child to the moon like I do when reading the book version of Lex.

never have I wanted to punt a child to the moon like I do when reading the book version of Lex. hands down one of the most annoying characters I’ve ever read. Its like I get amnesia when I’m done with the book and each time I pick it back up it all comes flooding back. no real point to this post. just a rant.

Is there an app / site where I can get notifications on movie releases?

I always seem to go to the theater or browse youtube and see a trailer for a movie that I want to watch. I've been an IMDB user for years, and always put them on my watchlist, but I wish there was a way to get notified.

In an ideal world, a option for notification (email or something) of theatrical release, streaming release, and / or blu ray release.

Especially because sometimes movies advertise for a crazy long amount of time, and sometimes they don't. I either find myself forgetting about a movie, and not going back to my watch list until after it's out of theaters, or I feel like I'll check 100 times and it's still not out yet.

This is probably dumb, but it would definitely help me watch more movies in the theater considering how short some of these theatrical runs are.

Not just the 4k output itself, but the actual restoration of Jaws really is just phenomenal work.

After my annual re-watch today, I once again find myself watching he BTS about the restoration process and it really is mind blowing how incredible of a job they did. The people behind the technical aspects of the restoration are incredibly talented.

Dryer has stopped working and I'm not even sure where to start with fixing it.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not real handy when it comes to appliances. I usually just hire it out and not worry about it, but I've had a LOT of unexpected expenses in the last 6 months and I really cant afford to have someone charge me $150 to look at my dryer and then tell me it's going to cost me another $600-800 to fix it (which is what happened to me with my washing machine last year).

It's a Samsung clothes dryer that's about 7(?) years old. It's stopped getting hot, which from google searching made me suspect the heating element. But it's also not even running the full time anymore. if I set it to "Time dry" as opposed to moisture sensing, turn off the "eco" mode and set it to run for 30 minutes, it runs for <5 minutes and then shuts off like it's done. No error codes or anything. It just behaves like the timer finished. In the moisture sensing mode it just runs but never gets hot.

All of my searching tells me any number of 10 things can be wrong, and I'm not in a position to start throwing parts at it.

Can someone who knows about these things help walk me through diagnosing the issue in a logical way?

Edit: I should have mentioned. It's electric. Model DVE50R5200W/A3
