Upper Blepharoplasty for hooded eyes

I saw the ophthalmologist at Kaiser in Oakland CA who said I would get covered by Medicare since my vision is affected. Choice is between outpatient surgery (less time to get an appt) or conscious sedation in the OR or Surgery Center. I am 69 and in good health so am leaning toward outpatient surgery in the office. Any suggestions or reasons not to go this route? Any tips for recovery? Thanks!

Looking for classes, videos and meetups in the Greater Bay Area to learn hooping

I am new to hooping (who says you can't learn new tricks at age 69?) and want to get better, learn and be around other hoopers. Where can I go to find resources? Thanks for your suggestions.

Female doctors for prostate cancer

Men do you prefer male doctor when considering prostate cancer treatment? As a wife I prefer women gynecologists because we “share the same equipment” - do you feel the same? Both the radiologist and urologic surgeon we are talking with are women. Is this a sexist question?

Trying to decide Treatment

My husband is 70 with 3+4=7 Gleason psa 10.2 with intermediate grade 2 favorable. Options are radiation 5 x every other day plus anti testosterone hormone therapy OR robot radical prostatectomy. Survival rates are virtually the same. We are wavering between the 2 options. My husband hates having an mri because he gets claustrophobic but can tolerate it- I don’t think that’s a reason that should tip the scale. Advice appreciated. He is in good health otherwise.

Best sun protection for swimming

I just started lap swimming at my neighborhood pool which is outdoors. I normally swim 2 miles in 1.5 hours and unfortunately I got a bad sunburn in that time. What is the best option for avoiding sunburn from longer distance swimming in outdoor pool? Thanks for your help! Note I swim freestyle for 3/4 of the length.

group dinner in Walnut Creek near Lesher Center

Hi Walnut Creek friends, I'm organizing a group to go to a show in July at the Lesher Center. I am hoping to find a nearby walkable restaurant that 1) doesn't require reservations and 2) is one of those restaurants where you order and they give you a number and then you sit down and they bring the food. The reason is I don't want to have to divide a check and I don't know how many people will decide ahead of time to come. I'm looking for a place that can meet a lot of different food preferences - e.g. diverse menu friendly to meat and non meat eaters, friendly atmosphere but not too loud and with option to get a drink. I've searched trip advisor and yelp but there's no way to filter this kind of place where you line up to order, pay and then sit down. Anyone know of this type of place? I would greatly appreciate it.
