PB Largemouth

Caught my PB largemouth the other day. This is in the southern tier of NY in a private pond using a black and blue whacky senko. Using a medium light pole with 4 lb test. Looks like the fish got into it with something in the pond. Size 14 croc for reference

Bilko to walkout swap

I am looking to get rid of my bilko doors in favor of a ground level walkout(no stairs) with a small roof to divert water. There is already a door frame in the foundation, so no need to cut any holes in it. Obviously drainage will be a concern, but my real concern is the structural integrity. Obviously that can’t be assessed on here, but I’m trying to find a starting point of what entity to reach out to and find out what the cost/amount of work involved would be. I was trying to upload photos, but it won’t allow me. There is currently a block foundation outside of the door frame that sits beneath the bilkos.

Bilko swap to walkout

I live in upstate New York and would love to get rid of this old leaky bilco door and turn this into a second, more accessible entrance. I don’t want there to be stairs and ideally would like to walk out ground level with a little roof/overhang to help with water intrusion. Down the line, I’d like a driveway to lead up to this part of the foundation, but who knows if that will ever be affordable.

Obviously drainage and structural integrity are probably at the top of the list of things to think about. Is this a DIY-able project or a pipe dream I’ll never be able to afford? I would also like to expose the least amount of the foundation possible so that heating/cooling costs don’t drastically increase.
