I am really pleased with this painting. My aim was colour and whimsy for a specific empty space and I adore how charming it looks. I don't usually paint a border but somewhere along the way I decided that it would add to the illustration feel.

I did not consider

the colour of the wall it would go on.

My options now are:

1. Find a new spot for this one and paint something else to replace it (but big canvas is expensive and I am a poor.)

2. Try to change the colour of the border (which would have been significantly easier if I didn't decide to go outside of the line, like, SO many times. )

3. Convince myself and everyone else that it was deliberate and now the rest pops out of the wall.

I normally have a hard time pulling my focus away from what I perceive as flaws or from second guessing choices or techniques in my art. But sometimes I will be so stoked that I painted, for example, an objectively freaking awesome Dirty Shirley that it makes me overlook any other imperfections and just be really happy with the whole thing.

I came across this cute purple floating blob in the processing plant at Calamari. I tried to hit it with my pickaxe and the axe interacted with it but it was indestructible; the animation was similar to when you try to smash a vault door. Is it an Easter Egg? A bug? A leftover from another season?

I love Sprites. I think they are one the best things Epic has put in the game and I will be so sad to lose my wee little buddies when the season ends. What I REALLY want is a series of Sprite plushies but since my (limited) DIY creative abilities lean more toward the two dimensional I have settled for painting some of them in acrylics on 9×12 canvases so I can keep them for ever and ever.

I am one of those people trying to get all my wee little guys organically and it has been an absolute slog. I am missing SO many so while my hope may be high, my expectations for any given game are pretty low. But in this match I was blessed by the Sprite gods. I wouldn't even have minded getting shot once I extracted everyone but I even managed to pull out the win too.

I am almost certain I am also wearing the ball chain necklace.
