Air handler boot impossible to seal to duct.

Gotta love home owning. The boot under my air handler isnt even attached to the main duct. I just sealed both sides with hvac tape. But the other sides are against joist and the duct is fixed 2inches below the floor board. I attempted using half inch tubing and injecting duct mastic, but it just made a mess and didnt work. Was thinking maybe hvac company can lower it somehow but prob cant since all my electrical and water lines directly beneath it. I strongly feel they have to seal it from above by removing flooring or take out the whole air handler to get it. I think my last resorts would be to spray foam the sides and hope it dont expand inside it, or put the fiber glass up around it like how it was and just hope it slows it down, or just try seal it at the joist and hope all the hot air leaking out in that little space dosent rot the wood around it somehow.

How to repair duct hole.

So i removed my bathroom vanity and noticed this vent and whoever put this house together in 2004 used hvac tape to bridge the gap between the floor and this duct. As you can also see the alignment of plywood dont match the duct. Anyhow. I need to patch this hole. Hvac guy who was here kinda pissed me off. I half assed it and threw a piece of metal scrap on top , smaller than the hole cause it was all i had and i taped it temporary to not have wasted ac till he arrived. He tells me , it just needs more tape. I told him numerous times how i want it done and he just ends up taping more. I am just going to redo it. Please tell me the proper way.

How i assume to do it the right way:

Clean surface really well. Apply enough tape to cover hole. I am going to go with a galvanize flat scrap of roofing thats a inch large around edges of the hole, all i have. I think i will bend the metal sheet down the side of the duct an inch since theirs no meat on the edge. What do you think? I am going to use half inch sheet metal screws to secure it perimeter of sheet metal. Then ill paint it with mastic duct sealant. Sealant isnt going to be touching the tape in anyway just in case the tape peels and mastic isnt compromised.Anything else i need to add? Or should i skip the screws and just use a whole roll of hvac tape?

The plywood on top is only 2 to 3 inches above it so once i repair this hole , in the plywood , i wont be able to fix it again.

Who do i hire? 23 year bathroom exhaust, never had a duct.

I was going to replace bathroom exhaust and notice whoever built this house in 2003 never put a duct but yet have a vent on roof. I was wondering why the roofer forgot to add a roof vent, had them come out to add it and they thought i was crazy. I dont know if their is even a hole in the roof. Who do i call to fix this? Roofer, hvac or electrician? Exhaust just been blowing into a ceiling cavity all these years.

New Homewerks exhaust fan rattling

So i live in a modular single floor , no atttic. Angled ceiling. I have this foot gap between ceiling and roof. I installed this new Homewerks LED fan but i am sure i did it wrong. I have it angled with the ceiling and joist. Now its sounds like a piece of paper rattling around like a slight scratch noise when on. If i have to level it, wouldnt partial of the mount be revealed out of the ceiling since ceiling is angled? Or do i recess the mount into the ceiling so its no sticking out of the ceiling, then again i wouldnt know if the light would pull onto it correctly.

Crawlspace estimates crazy high.

I have crawlspace of 71ft x 26ft, 4ft tall. I got 2 quotes. One for 25k and one for 20k. They both doing 20mil vap barrier with drainage mat underneath and both doing aprilair dehumidifier with same wall insulation, this styrofoam looking stuff. They both installing electrical outlet for the crawlspace with a new door for crawlspace. 3600 for both places to remove the old fiberglass batts. I could save 3600 of the prices if i did that part myself. no mold remediation, and no sump pumps. I just work 6 days a week and dont have anyone to help me do this project , really dont wanna spend all that just for 5k worth of materials. Would any of yous even attempt getting a pest control person to do encapsulation, a lot of them do it in my area. The 2 quotes i got were from big foundation companies but best in the area.

Many questions for leather handle on axe.

I want to do the end of axe like this without glue. I dont know anything about leatherwork. Wasted money on lambskin leather 2 sets of 25in. I had a hard time finding a good source for thin leather in long strands (5to 6 ft). Also didnt want to glue it on either, mainly for decoration, whats thise pins he used to hold that leather on?

I want to braid the bottom handle like this

https://youtu.be/QQ2s1RQLkPk?si=Jw1TXsMLGS7feOEC

I assume in the video he probably use 5 to 6ft but not sure where to purchase it. Dont need a whole hide. What is the needle called he used to braid with?

Zone 7A , how to get figs to survive winter in pots?

Not enough land to plant in ground. Worry the roots would travel 15-20 ft up hill and ruin my 20k pool. I dont have a heated shed or garage to store a potted fig. Has anyone tried burlaping their fig and laying it side ways in a crawlspace? I feel like i would end up throwing my back out putting a 15gal pot on its side in a 40in height space. Containing the soil and watering would be hell, prpb water it through a tube. Another method i had in mind is burying the pot and winterizing it like a inground tree. Not sure if that would help. Everyone i seen who tried the unheated shed in zero degree weathers tend to be 50/50 with tree dying and not sure if christmas lights would keep it alive. Crawlspace seems like it has to be warmest method, just unsure how warm its gets under there atm.

Umbilical cord 1 artery problem

We got a 15 week scan done and seen this. We have done IVF and already had genetic testing done when he was a blastocyte. Online says 98% accuracy so it suppose rule out triscomy 18 . Our baby size is in the 70th percentile so hes pretty big. Think he appears to be 4 ounces when they suppose to be 2 ounces or so. Just worry if umbilical cord will keep up as he gets bigger. Doctor recommended another genetic test done but rather not pay $2500 again out of pocket when we already did it before. Could they have overlooked a 2nd artery? I just hate having to wait for the anatomy scan without knowing much

Will my green giant brances ever fill in?

So I had these green giants for like 5 years now. I spaced them close enough so thatll prob grow 10 to 15ft tall and hopefully stop. Had a bagwarm incident or something last year and lost all the folliage on some parts of the tree and lost a few branches. I circled the spots that bother me. Bottom left of one tree basically gone and i wonder if new branches or folliage ever gonna grow there or should i just restart with another tree. Another tree of mine is the same on both bottoms but not as bad. And the 3rd tree i had a lot of yellow leaves that crumbled off in the middle of it and its just empty branches there. Will that get folliage back.? I give it recommended fertilizer, compost and pine mulch, growth feels so slow. Im tempted to get rid of em all and just put fruit trees or something

Snoo bassinet, high emf? How can i reduce it?

Got 5 months to get this snoo bassinet ready for limited emf exposure. It got all these certifications of being safe and they have this metal plate on the snoo to reduce emf. someone online detected 18 something where the babys head rest when a microwave does 20-25 . Noise machine is where the head rest. I got wifi turned off on it, i deactivated the noise machine, and then it got these speaker holes where i also believe the emf from the moving motor will pose a problem. What kind of insulator or layer i can lay down to reduce emf further? Would aluminum work?
