So like how do you know when your Maine coon is fat?

My baby is turning 1 year old this week and he’s currently 15.3lbs. Idk if I’m overfeeding him and making him fat or if he’s growing as he should.
He’s too fluffy for me to check his waist line. I can feel his bones when I pet him but when he’s on his back, his belly is just… melting into the floor (LOL)
He’s not super active and he’s eating about 350 calories now.

Terrified of HCM

Does anyone else Maine Coon breathe hard before sleeping or while purring? He’s 10 months now and he has been doing this since I got him at 3 month old. I have taken him to the vet when I first got him at for wellness and another to get him neutered at around 6 month. Both times the vet said he seems fine but I’m just spiraling. I’m not sure if I should spend the money on echo since that seems to be the accurate way to determine if he has hcm or am I overreacting??
