I HATE OJIROS DUMBASS TAIL

This isn't about his lackluster character. It's about how much I hate this mans design! His tail is too muscled for a human tailbone to be able to support it? Our tailbones were designed to support a small tail used mostly for balance, this is a kangaroo ass tail and is mostly used for fighting! He should have extreme scolosis due to the weight on his lower back and breathing issues because of it? His ribcage should be inverted as well and his legs??? Also, his tail is way too high on the body in comparison to where the human tail bone actually is. I hate this design so much.

The ideal design would be inverted legs to better support his lower body, a potruding rib cage to balance out the weight, longer/larger feet especially since he has to carry all that weight and just because I think it'd be nifty, shorter arms with smaller hands. Also, kangaroos(which is what I think his design is based off of? Either way, the tail logic remains the same) have slightly thinner bones compared to humans in order to withstand the constant jumping so it stands to reason that Ojiro would also have thinner bones but more muscle mass? Technically, its just the cortex(outer layer of bone) thats thinner in kangaroos but still! Kangaroos bones are also fairly elastic to deal with the jumping(something Ojiro is constantly doing). The bones help contain energy that gets released during jumps. Now, its never confirmed that Ojiro has a different bone structure but I'm fairly positive he doesn't because look at those knees! Those are human knees!!! His pelvis should also be far lower to the ground if he's going to be doing all these jumps and twirls. All in all, he should have:

  • enlarged sacrum + reinforced lumbar fusion
  • shifted center of mass downward
  • widened pelvic structure (closer to quadrupedal mammals)
  • Tendon reinforcement

Also, the tail doesn't follow the logic of any tail I've ever seen? Kangaroo tails end in a sharp point but this has hair on the end so I thought maybe its a lion tail but it's more muscular-akin to a kangaroos? It's thick enough in connection to his lower back but it has a more rounded end and it just looks like shit! The fur on a lions tail actually serves a purpose similar to whiskers where they can feel the area around them and can also be used for other lions to tack them through grass(especially younger cubs). Ojiro is a human. I get that in MHA, quirks are basically just random mutations but with more animal like quirks, they still tend to expanded upon?? The random hair doesn't make sense because he's never used it for sensing his way in the dark or communicating to his team members where he is-even though that would be extremely useful in basically any situation!? The hair could be used as a weaker version of Jiros quirk where he could sense where his teammates and villains are in a dark room but no. Its just there.

More on this useless ass hair, it would be incredibly sensitive if I'm right and it's supposed to be akin to a lions. Their hair is super sensitive and it would hurt to be constantly pet. Guess what Denki constantly does... why is he petting it constantly. Why. It's cute and all but it genuinely pisses me off. On this note, his whole tail should be incredibly sensitive! Its connected to a shit ton of nerve endings because its attached to the spinal cord and he can just sit on it willy nilly? He should be breaking into tears every two seconds! Tails on any animal are incredibly sensitive which is theorized to be one of the reasons we evolved past it. Does he just have a higher pain tolerance or something? Did Horikoshi not spend 3 hours researching kangaroo tails before making a minor side character? Especially since the hair on the tail is blonde which makes no sense if it's based on a lion? Lions tails have darker hair on the tips so that other lions can tell them apart from the grasslands and for guiding cubs. I know Ojiro isn't a lion but still. If theres going to be hair on his dick looking tail, than it should at least be brunnette or even just a darker shade of blonde!

Okay, my final point is going to be bringing up a third animal: the humble giraffe. It's pretty clear that Ojiros tail isn't based ON a giraffe but the hair might be and for the sake of being thorough, I'll also yap about why a giraffe tail wouldn't work. Its a glorified fly swatter. Thats it. It's also too small in comparison to the body to be comparable to Ojiros. Also, the giraffes tail hair is significantly darker than the rest of the body, especially in comparison to lions. Not to mention the hair on the tails(for both lions and giraffes) is incredibely coarse so it makes even less sense that Denki would be able to pet Ojiros tail without him getting at least a little miffed.

The sheer level of hate I have for this design cannot be rivaled. The thing is, if he actually had a design that could support his quirk, he'd also be a more interesting character? He wouldn't be a traditional heteromorph since tail is a lot less specific that "frog" or "octopus man freak" but he wouldn't be human looking either? It'd actually resemble dwarfism to an extent due to the larger ribcage paired with smaller arms and the crouched legs would give the impression of being shorter. But no. We just got this design. I get that MHA basically works on the rules of magic but this just pisses me off. At least give him a back brace or something. How is he going to support all that weight? It's probably around 1/3 of his total weight, all supported on his wimpy ass human tail bone? With those knees? This disgusts me in a way no other design ever can. Not even Hawks stupid little wings. This is such a stupid complain for a side character who has like three fans but I honestly hate this man so much for the sheer fact that his design is an affront to god.
