Would it be better to get a Hobie mirage tandem island or a adventure/solo

I was wondering if it would be better to just get a solo with trampolines to hold other people couse it would be so much cheaper. Or if I get the tandem would it be more difficult to sail solo? Also I heard if it's over 18 ft which the tandem is I needs to be registered.

Mid drive on trek marlin six

Has anybody but a 1kw mid drive on a marlin six. I have seen some people having an issue with the bottom bracket
