Got some freeloaders in the cow pasture

Is the Squier Affinity Jazz Bass still as model to avoid?

In the FAQs tab of the subreddit it is advised to avoid the Squier Affinity model of bass because "They're very low-quality wood, and won't last you very long as you get better". I know the Squier subject is a bit of a dead horse for many of the long term users of this sub, so I'm trying to ask the question in a new-ish way.
Do you who held that view previously still believe the Affinity model of Squier is to be avoided? I ask because the Affinity Jazz Bass is the only Squier model available in to buy online, although there are Ibanez GSR200 and SR300 as well, I would prefer a passive bass.

I done messed up

I was driving down the road, let off the gas to try and swat at a fruit fly IRL, and when I turned back I drifted into the railroad crossing and my bailer got hoisted by the crossing barrier.

Yesterday my internet went down. It wasn't the first time, but I thought maybe I'd get in a bit of gaming while I waited for them to sort it out. But on FS25 all my mods except the DLC mods were unavailable. This is not the first time this has happened, but I think I should check if there is a way to have them be more permanent on my system?
