Ovulation hell

Looking for advice.

Im a 41(f). Recently had labs and my annual, doctor says from what he sees im not perimenopausal and im not close.

My ovulation has gotten to the point where is worse than my hell week. The symptoms begin the day after my period (i have a 28 day cycle). i am desperately looking for some sort of relief or advice on what I can do here at home to treat some of the symptoms.

Symptoms are as follows:

Extreme cramping and bloating (i look pregnant and cannot suck it in)

Mood swings. Like im a total psycho.

Extreme horniness to the point where im not even being rational about it, im thinking about sex with everyone (the mailman, the guy at the gym, etc etc)

Heavy sticky discharge with frequent underwear changes.

Food aversions/nausea/constipation

headaches

Brain fog. Yesterday i forgot my kids name and where I was driving. I almost feel high.

Extreme fatigue and struggling to stay awake.

dizziness

Arm/hand numbness tingling

Body aches/feeling fluish

Higher temp/sweating

Does anyone have any suggestions? Its debilitating me. I had family in over the holiday and I had to skip a couple dinners and outings because of the symptoms. I desperately want to feel normal or at least make this manageable. I’m on 50 mg of Zoloft. I didn’t know if people had a vitamin that helps or some sort of regimen. I desperately wish that I could take birth control and skip my cycle altogether, but every single birth control I have tried has made me horribly sick.

What about creams? Or a birth control that goes into the vagina like nuvaring? im just lost and struggling i cant keep going through this. my doctor said well its just your hormones, your labs are normal and your ultrasound and internal ultrasound looked perfect.

Help 😭😭😭

Stomach bug?

My son (12) and a bunch of us went to the public pool in our development on Thursday. Around 5 AM he came in my room and said he had to throw up. He said he had very bad acids in his throat and he said he also had diarrhea. He threw up twice and continued to have diarrhea all day with severe stomach pain. (Friday)

(Saturday)
He had severe stomach pain all day and night and extreme nausea. He took a Zofran before bed. He did not have diarrhea and he did not vomit.

(Sunday)
He still has the nausea and the stomach pain on and off. Every time he thinks he’s feeling better it comes right back. He is not having diarrhea and he is not vomiting. He is just severely nauseous and has no appetite. Stomach pain is coming and going.

I did call the triage nurse at his pediatrician and she said it sounds like it’s just a bug. normally my son gets over these things in two days Max. But I’m really not seeing much improvement. I’m concerned about the outbreak that is sweeping the country. (cyclosporiasis) which requires antibiotic treatment. The doctor told me to give it a full 7-10 days. My son is an agony and im not sure he can do this for 7 days.

Anyone else have a bug like this recently?

Forgot to wash my lettuce

Ate a salad but forgot to wash

So for context, my anxiety has been pretty bad lately because i need to increase my zoloft. For the entirety of my life (41f) i buy organic prewashed lettuce and make myself a salad about 4 times a week. Ive always been fine.

Tonight i ate a small salad and I forgot to wash the lettuce. It says in small print at the bottom “wash before eating”. I didnt see it and i thought it was prewashed.

I ate one small romaine heart. I always cut off the leafy tops and the bottom that grows in the ground. I also always remove the outer leaves. For some reason im ruminating about it now and im freaking myself out.

What do you guys think? Should I just chill and forget about it?

Red flags at my firm

Hey all. Ive been in the legal field for 22 years now. I know all firms have their “issues” behind the scenes but im currently on year 2 at my firm and the red flags are waving in my face. things got bad about 6 months ago (in my first year).

Management bullies you until you quit. You are reprimanded over next to nothing and threatened on a daily basis with “write ups”. These emails have all of management on them.

the turnover rate is alarming. We are firing and hiring every month for my position.

The drama is insane. Most of the firm is remote but we have a lot of people in our only office. We are a nationwide firm. It appears that everyone in office is out to get everyone that is remote. you are slandered, your cases are looked into without your knowledge, the favorites get assigned new cases over the better producers because they are with the “in crowd”.

My question is, what do you do when you are at a firm that you know you are expendable. They simply fire people on a whim here. Three of my coworkers were let go on friday without warning. i am a single mom supporting two kids and paying a high mortgage. I am making a lot here, more than I can at any local firm in my state. Ive been looking for backups in case but today i was told “management knows when people apply to other firms so watch your back”

Im just lost. Ive never experienced this before. Im making the best money ive ever made but its like im walking a tightrope everyday.
