Customer conversion advice

I run a custom photo vinyl decal business. I'm looking for some advice on how to prevent or reduce the number of people who ask for a draft design and then don't follow through with actually purchasing the vinyl decal. I understand that it is a tricky business where people want to see what the actual decal will look like before buying but I am getting increasing number of people who just get the draft I put several changes in place and then they just don't buy. Would it make sense to have a $5 draft deposit that goes towards their final price before I actually make them a draft design or do you think that would deter customers?

Earth science labs

Hey everyone, I have been teaching a mixed level (standard and honors) Earth science class for several years. I would love any lab resources that have found particularly successful for a wide range of students I would really like to add more hands on activities rather than online simulations.

Thanks!

Advice- first rides new horse

Background- experienced western horse owner/ rider of 14 years. Trained and owned my previous horse. However it has been 14 years since I have been back on a new/younger horse. Just brought home a 5 yr old gelding. This is also the first time I have been on my own property and not boarding with a new horse. I am confident, gentle rider that goes slow to build trust rather than aggressively pushing for things faster .

What exercises, drills, and things would you recommend to do in the first rides and weeks?

Today we walked the pasture, whose, stood still, trotting medium.circles.

Help injured foot

Hello parents I am in need of some advice with my 3-year-old. 10 days ago he sprained his ankle we had it x-rayed and we have since had a follow-up x-ray there is no fracture or major injury present it was considered a sprain and I know it was painful at first he put some weight on it it hurt and now he is reluctant to put his foot down at all. I need some advice on how to encourage him to start walking again he will ride his bike using the pedals crawl and sit on top of the foot. The follow up with the doctor assured us that he is not flinching or pulling back

Any advice?

We have tried just making him crawl and walk to us and he either gets frustrated or just crawls we have tried bribery but he is not superfood motivated or motivated by prizes.

Delete if not allowed- help in my grief

Many of you have seen my post about Red Maple Poisoning-- June has been a difficult month, and keeping my hands busy creating has been helping heal more than I can explain.

For the rest of this month, I'll be donating a portion of every custom decal to a horse rescue. It's a small way to give back to horses still waiting for their second chance while doing something I love.

Please check out my business page if you would like to see my art- CTC Branded Designs on Facebook or Etsy.

Every order this month will help both my healing heart and horses in need.

Red maple poisoning

I am hoping to share this story to help others. Please be kind. I have been a horse owner for 20 plus years.

Found out the very difficult way that red maple is toxic and most commonly in the wilted leaves but green leaves caused the hemolytic crisis in my horse and she passed yeesterday. It is terrible....I knew the other common toxins and assumed she would not eat the remnants of a tree that fell in the pasture.

Red Maple is toxic and causes a really terrible kidney and liver damage.

Love on all your babies today.

Advice setting myself apart

I have been getting some feedback on my store and I am trying to figure out how to really differentiate my shop from other "custom" decals. When I search my shop is the third shop to pop up but really my niche is pretty different than the other shops on the list.

What I do... People send me their photos of horses and riders and I create a decal from the exact photo.

What I see.. custom decals for horses are just a personalized name with a generic photo or a photo sticker

.

Tldr: how to emphasize how my shop is unique and the higher price reflects the work into each design.

Shop critique: Photo to Vinyl Decal Shop

I would love feedback on my shop from outside eyes. I have a niche photo to decal business. All decals are hand crafted from photos sent to me from buyers. I am focused on equestrian right now, but have branched into other photos too. I don't have many listings up because everything is personalized. I've been reading more listings means more traffic. All constructive feedback is welcome!
