Anyone else having trouble taking the story seriously with his resting grin and nice guy looking face?

Watching the cutscenes back to back with the original, it seems like Edward's constant unhinged look was intentional as it sells the character. As well as the original game having a grimier look to things and Ed not talking to himself as much or making jokes.

Now he just seems too nice all the time with everything around him having a nice sheen to it, especially with the new story missions.

But even in ones that were remade it's hard to take him as this money obsessed scaliwag who will kill and steal to get it, when he comes across more like Nathan Drake playing pirate now in every cutscene.

Still yet to find a competitor to this small beast.

It's the best indie game handheld PC by far. The closest we have to it are android devices using windows emulation but they aren't as compatible as an actual x86 device.

I'd pay good money for an updated Air 1s. Update the screen, as even though it's a nice OLED its peak brightness and being only 60hz hold it back, and use the HX370 or HX470 chips. It be an instant must buy imo.

Their x86 devices have been pretty lackluster lately (the Konkr Fit x86 is a disaster, it feels like a tax write off) and this would be an actual niche they can fill as everyone else is putting power over compactness.

So because the game saves on entrance to each area, if you quit to title at any point and go back into the game, it will start you exactly how you were when you first entered a room.

Mix that with the Proto Spark, and you basically can test out rooms and bosses until you die, and quickly go exit and return when you revive. You'll get your proto spark back as well as all the health and sidearm ammo you started the room with.

Saved me a lot of headache with some run backs and long platforming stretches. Works on any screen. So for bosses it'll start you at the beginning of the fight and for platforming it'll start you wherever you entered the area.

I tried not to overdo it to keep the spirit of the game, but if the cheese is served I'm usually having some.

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but maybe it's a wildly known exploit at this point.

EDIT: I rarely, if ever, used this for avoiding bone loss, it was more for later areas with long stretches of platforming between underlabs or certain boss runbacks personally. I think the game provides plenty of ways to get bones or save them as is.
