Advice please!

Here's the last background of my journey

https://www.reddit.com/r/CataractSurgery/s/mFBK6bhDJj

I went to the surgeon about a month ago for measurements and to decide whether exchange or Lasik is my best route.

Because the refraction measurements of my right eye were completely different than any other measurement (each time I've been measured, I've gotten completely different results, 4 times, weeks apart, 4 different measurement results) and the cornea was steeper, exchange was better. But to return to the office in 1 month for a re-measurement.

Fast forward to yesterday, I had another appointment and another scan. This time my vision was off by -1.50 (it was -1.00 each time up until yesterday) and the cornea measurement was 10, it was 14 on the scan before surgery in September. I have no idea what those numbers mean.

The doctor now changed his opinion about doing an exchange and wants to proceed with Lasik.

He told me that because my vision became even better than the left eye after looking through the phoropter, Lasik is the best way to go.

He said if the vision stayed blurry no matter what was dialed in on the phoropter, then I should have an exchange.

Looking for people's thoughts/comments/suggestions.

Lasik has been scheduled for this coming Friday, May 22, 2026 @ 2pm.

Thanks to everyone in advance!

Repair /Warranty Service is 100% a SCAM buyer beware

Repair/Warranty Service is 100% a SCAM buyer beware

I got a pair of Buds 3 Pro for Christmas. LESS THAN 5 MONTHS AGO.

Last week the case stop charging . It didn't matter if I plugged it into a charging cord or whether I place it on a wireless charger. It simply would not accept a charge.

I went through Samsung's repair service and ship them back via UPS. I received a text message today that told me that the repair would not be covered by the warranty. I could either have them ship them back to me or if I wanted to spend an additional $177, they'll repair them and send them back to me.

No other explanation was given in the text message.

I called Samsung and after being passed around from person to person to person to person, I was told there was water damage inside the charging case. This makes absolutely zero sense to me I've never dropped them I've never put them in water I've never left them exposed to water in any way shape or form.

The service technician told me that humidity and sweat will cause this. And because it is Samsung's policy to void warranties on any product that has water damage, it was nothing he could do and the item would not be repaired under warranty.

These are essentially brand new! The buds four Pros weren't even available when my bud three pros were purchased.

So Samsung is now going to return the item to me unrepared and broken. Completely useless to me. They are trying to force me to spend $177 to repair an item that is a generation older than what's currently available , and at a price that is comparable to the newest iteration when they're on sale.

I feel very strongly that this service technician process is a complete scam. To be told that there's damage from liquid caused by humidity and/or sweat, which is a completely reasonable occurrence if you're wearing them at any time, and that because of my normal and typical use, they're junk after 4 1/2 months.

Anybody else have this experience? Anybody have any advice? I am so disappointed in Samsung. This is the first time I have ever submitted something to them for repair. I have been a dieHard Samsung user for at least 20 years now.

When I told the last technician that was very unhappy with this result, she told me I will "need to spend money out of my own pocket" and that's all there is and "if there's nothing else she can do for me thank you for calling goodbye."

I find this absolutely abhorrent customer service.
