Themes of Transportation
I've enjoyed the continued evolution of the transportation-centric themes that Modest Mouse has carried throughout their career.
A lot of their early stuff was all about driving. Long Drive For Someone With Nothing to Think About, Head South, Trucker's Atlas, Life of Arctic Sounds, etc.
I remember highlighting the lyrics in the album cover for We Were Dead...every song had some allusion to the ocean or ships or sailing. It was really impressive for me at the time, I found the album when I was 16 and nothing I had heard before that had really that kind of cohesion before.
And now here we are with the most recent album, talking about tarmacs, luggage coming out random, "...When we leave the sky and come back again/Our baggage doesn't land there". Just a neat motif that's followed through a lot of their albums (not all of them obviously).
ECCOstation - A COMPLETE SONIC WASTELAND
Compilation of 3 guitar-based noise albums in made throughout 2025.

I only used one guitar, recorded in roughly 30 minute sessions, to create improvised noise sessions. I use a plethora of pedals on this album, but the key three are the Keeley ECCOS looper, Catalinbread perseus octave fuzz, and Earthquaker Afterneath Reverb pedals.
started working on some new noise today
new noise album on the horizon, this track was purely guitar based but I'll be throwing some other things in along the way.
Introducing: Effort_Music.zip (2017)
This is an older project. The concept was to take samples and loops and boost their volumes to the breaking point. The idea was to see what would come out. End result was something that I called Effort_Music.zip, an ironic name based on how messy and loose I was with production.
