I have a group interview for a customer assistant cafe position, does anybody have advice??

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask but i’ve NEVER done a group interview before and it sounds terrifying. Also what did you wear during your interview? i am planning to wear black trousers and a button up white top but didn’t know if that was too smart or too casual.
Any advice is very appreciated as i NEED this job as i’m currently working on a 4 hr contact at my other job and need more hours.

A message for Yr 10s going into year 11

Ive seen a lot of people asking about how much revision they need to do this summer or worrying about year 11 but honestly use this summer to relax!! Unless you NEED grade 9s for EVERY SINGLE SUBJECT you don’t need to be stressing about revision. Ofcourse it’s okay to be revising but don’t speedrun burnout. This summer is the final break you will have to ACTUALLY rest until GCSE summer, yes you have half term breaks but trust me it will be hard to relax because you will probably be worrying about revising and will feel guilt from not revising which only stresses you out. Just remember you haven’t even learnt all the content yet, once you start year 11, keep ontop of revision but you don’t need to revise everyday. Start properly revising (like 2-4 hrs a day) about 6-3 months before GCSES start but obviously as you get closer alter your revision based off the grades you want.

I hope this is useful to somebody and also if anybody thinks my advice is dogshit please let me know i don’t want to misinform anybody!!

AITAH for not wanting to cut the grass 💔

before you make a judgement there is infact context. Basically my stepdad (65, unemployed living rent free) asked me to cut the grass yesterday which i initially agreed to do but then he went on to make a snarky comment saying “because you do nothing”. This took me off guard because i do stuff around the house and im not being funny all the cleaning is THEIR mess anyways?

admittedly this week i haven’t done much because its boiling and my period cramps have been INSANE like shaking nearly fainting and ibuprofen works but if i do like actual like exercise the pain comes back. Additionally i mentioned how i cleaned the kitchen this week and did the washing up (my mum REFUSES to let me do the washing up) but then he claimed that i didn’t clean the kitchen?.. and it took me 2 and a half hours mind because whenever my stepdad spills something on the side he doesn’t clean it and it solidifies. I began to talk back saying how i did infact clean it but then he pointed to the kitchen which was messy but it’s HIS mess??? At this point i was getting agitated to the point i don’t want to cut the grass but then he started going on about cleaning the kitchen all day everyday (i would hope so as he is an unemployed chud making my mother(45) having to bring home the bacon which isn’t a lot AT ALL making us poor) but the only mess in the kitchen is his mess.

So in spite i don’t really want to cut the grass but another reason is because our lawnmower is shit it starts clogging up when going over 3cm of grass and doesn’t even pick up the cut grass properly and we have loads of ant hills and three big holes in the garden which i have to manoeuvre round and it’s boiling and the last time i cut the grass it took me TWO hours and i genuienly felt like i was going to faint as i hadn’t eaten (there was nothing to eat). And this would be a problem again seeing as im not allowed to go to breakfast with my grandmother until i cut the grass but there is no food for me here so until i cut the grass i have no food but cutting the grass is genuienly painful and draining (i know it sounds dramatic i swear its not) but back in the day before my stepdad was here the grass was a minimum two man job anyway!! I would bring up the fact my cramps make it really hard to cut the grass but my stepdad believes only he knows what real pain is.

I just think my stepdad should pay somebody to cut the grass as my nan knows this person who has a good lawnmower who does it for cheap, and you may be thinking how can we do that when we are poor, well my stepdad makes my nan buy half his shopping and he refuses to pay her back (mostly alcohol btw and EXPENSIVE alcohol) so i’m sure he can use the money he saves from that but idk if that will result in my stepdad lashing out.

If i refuse to cut the grass to him im worried he will do what he always does which is claim I don’t understand authority and that im in the wrong because if im told to do something i should do it “because he’s the parent im the child” and i never agree but am i just being dramatic and refusing to do chores? i don’t really have anybody else to talk about this with so an outside opinion would be great.

So, AITAH for not wanting to cut the grass.

TL;DR I find cutting the grass to be extremely difficult but my stepdad claims im being dramatic and refusing to do chores and not respecting authority but he’s just been really rude to me these couple of weeks and accused me of lying about cleaning the kitchen despite having debilitating period cramps and i think he should have money left aside to pay somebody to just cut the grass if he thinks it’s that big of a deal.

Should i go to leavers assembly?

My school is doing our leavers assembly today but i don’t think i will have anyone to sit with because my bsf (who was telling me to go like a month back) has been a little off lately and just seems to prefer other people now like alot of other people now over me but i literally left friends so she’d trust me more so i cant sit with them. Idk do i just try sit with my bsf, sit alone or just not go because idk what leavers assembly is actually like and i don’t know if its worth it
UPDATE: i decided to go because i saw a tiktok saying get out of bed so i took it as a sign, anyways long story short me and my bsf are no longer friends but better sooner than later!! thanks for your advices in replies 🥹✌️

is anybody else scared of jinxing their exams by saying the paper was good

I keep seeing people predicting their own grades but like i know very well if i predict myself anything above a 4 i will get a U like i thought the chem went great and i vocalised it, i did half the calculations wrong, cried over maths turns out (in theory) i have gotten enough on my two calculator papers alone to pass. I am reserving judgement completely until after exams now

I swear the universe doesn’t want me to revise

Like an hour ago i actually reached for state revising then i heard a loud bang and smelt smoke.
MY FUCING WHEELIE BIN EXPLODED AND SET ON FIRE.
spent an hour making sure the fire was out and trying to ponder what to do about the situation even the door fucking melted bro.
Anyways i think this is a sign i should stop revising for now 🥹🫰

Exam board sent my school the wrong paper 💔💔

Did anybody else doing the crucible for drama have this issue?? the exam board sent my school the WRONG FUCKING PAPER so we were sat doing nothing for twenty minutes whilst they were trying to figure out the issue and in the end we got delayed by 30 minutes and left after school had already ended. Literally every single drama mock has had something go wrong (no theatre notes or no answer booklet) and we joked that for the third final attempt with the actual exam the questions booklet will be missing to complete everything that could’ve gone wrong and it ACTUALLY happend

Edit: I forgot to add like 30 minutes later the exam board sent the papers and my school printed them out so in the end i DID sit the paper and it could’ve been worse and on the plus side we might get extra marks (like 2 but that is way better than nothing) for the inconvenience
