Fever themed tattoo?

Hi everyone!

I want to get a tattoo in honor of Fever's 25th anniversary later this year. I'm wondering if anyone has a fever-related tattoo or has any ideas for one! I tend to prefer minimalist images for tattoos, but I'd love to see any complex work people have too!

My two ideas:

- the fever microphone

- a butterfly in the sun (for the reference to the US release of Butterfly on Fever as opposed to Light Years), also potentially a nice tie-in to Fragile, which is fun because Fragile and Butterfly are my favorites on the album.

Ideas for honeymoon manicure?

I recently got my first ever gel x manicure on a whim for my wedding this weekend. I got Lincoln Park After Dark because it’s one of my favorites of all time, matched my dress well, plus we were getting married in Chicago and my partner is from Lincoln Park! I’m now absolutely in love with the manicure and I’m planning on getting regular fills.

Our honeymoon is 7/2-7/7 and I got this set on 5/14, so I’m guessing I have a fill or maybe two in between now and then (no idea how long these will last on me!). I figured I could use that time to explore some potential options for a honeymoon manicure.

I’d love to find a good polish that will match well with several different colors (or at least not actively clash) and ideally one that will help bring out the main pink diamond in my ring! I’m also up for any ideas for decorations or techniques that will make the manicure feel a bit more unique than just the flat color. I’m pretty sure my salon has just OPI and Essie. Thanks so much in advance for anyone who has any suggestions!

This is a long rant, so I apologize in advance for how frustrated I know I sound. Typing it out did help though, so at least the next time I talk to them, I won't have all of this pent up.

Also, because I know it's a (very valid) question that gets asked on a lot of posts like this, my fiancee and I are funding our wedding entirely. My family has contributed $0.00 to the event. So it's definitely not a question of them feeling taken advantage of, or like they're paying for things they hate.

I come from a working class family, and they are very set in their ways to the extent that they don't even fully realize it, and they think everyone else is exactly like them. I was the first person in the family to pursue higher education and to move away from our hometown, which has caused rifts in the past. I won't get too off into that tangent, but suffice it to say that they think I am a very strange person with very strange interests that no one could possibly share. They were genuinely shocked to learn that I have friends and my fiancee BECAUSE of these interests, and not in spite of them.

Right now, they're currently up in arms about the food for the wedding and the restaurant we chose for the welcome dinner for out-of-town guests the night before. We feel like we have a really great menu for the wedding. We intentionally chose a range of options (buffet style meal) so that we have some really fun food and also some options for our less adventurous guests (we also have vegan and gluten free versions of two of the meals).

Appetizers: Charcuterie, Everything-Seasoned Pigs-In-Blanket, Bombay Rolls (pastry pinwheels with coriander chutney and cheddar)

Sides: Caesar Salad, Roasted Potatoes and Carrots

Meals: Marinated Chicken Kebabs, Salmon with Miso-Ginger Glaze, Homestyle Baked Mac and Cheese, Truffle Parmesan Risotto

And then we have a hot chocolate brownie (chocolate with marshmallow fluff swirl) for desert.

They're acting like we have selected the most esoteric food possible, and called us to give us a long lecture on how when we're hosting an event, we need to consider what the guests want and not just what we want. They genuinely thought that all of the rest of our guests would also hate our menu, and they didn't believe me when I said that out of 35 guests, they are the only three people who have an issue with what we've selected. Everyone else has talked about how excited they are for the food (which is being made by a local caterer who is well-known for hosting really great dinner parties for the neighborhood, so most of our guests have tried his cooking before).

It's almost exactly the same issue with the restaurant. We chose a well-loved neighborhood Italian restaurant. Again, most of our guests have been there before, or have it on their radar to try out. My parents normally love Italian food (WE'RE Italian, FFS), but for some reason they are really taking issue with THIS specific restaurant. They once again tried to tell us that we are being selfish by picking something "only we will like" and that we should pick an "American restaurant" instead. When I asked what they had in mind, they literally said we should be having our welcome dinner at one of the tourist-trappy chains downtown (think Dick's Last Resort or Margaritaville), because they have "more normal food that appeals to everyone."

I have been trying to plan the wedding so that we're not alienating them, but I can only do so much when they're turning their nose up at things that I know they have eaten and loved before. They like chicken. 2/3 of them like mac and cheese. 2/3 of them would eat a caesar salad. The restaurant also has several options that I know they would like, but they're angry about the side offerings (like the roast chicken comes with polenta, or the braised short rib comes with arugula). I'm ready to just start banging my head against the wall.

I at least only have a couple of months left. I'm so ready to just celebrate with everyone and not have my parents buzzing in my ear.
