I am new to this sub. How exactly is LC defined? I am in my 40s and I almost never initiate contact with my parents. But when they initiate, which happens infrequently (every few months) - I engage with them but always at an arms length. I see them every so often but again, while maintaining distance, avoiding sharing anything that might make me feel vulnerable. Is this considered LC?
