Are the Asics Gel-Quantum 360 VIII suitable for wearing in the summer?

I'm gonna get my first pair of Asics sneakers for casual daily use. And now trying to decide what model is better for spring\summer.

I really like the design of Asics Gel-Quantum 360 VIII but I worry that my feet can get hot during summer since they don't have good ventilation AFAIK. Is there anyone who owns them?

Choosing between them and maybe Kayano 14, NYC and NYC 2.0. Or maybe there's something better?

I’m choosing between two setups for a 20 m² room:

Daikin MCK70ZW
2-in-1 air purifier + evaporative humidifier
CADR: 375 m³/h
Room area: 48 m² / 96 m² depending on the standard
Humidification: up to 700 ml/h
Water tank: 3.4L
Noise: 18–54 dB
Technology: Twin Streamer + HEPA + deodorizing catalyst

or

Daikin MC80Z + a separate evaporative humidifier
Air purifier only
CADR: 480 m³/h
Room area: 62 m² / 124 m² depending on the standard
Noise: 19–55 dB
Technology: Twin Streamer + HEPA + deodorizing catalyst

For the separate humidifier I’m considering something like Philips HU5710/03 or MiJia Smart Evaporative Humidifier Pro. These have larger tanks around 4.5–5L and humidification performance around 400–600 ml/h.

My room size is not the main concern, because both Daikin models should be enough for 20 m². My doubts are more about real-life convenience and long-term use.

MCK70ZW is attractive because it is one device, but I’m worried about the smaller 3.4L tank, frequent refilling, cleaning the tank/tray/humidifying parts, and the lack of exact humidity target control such as 45% or 50%. It also has lower CADR than the MC80Z.

MC80Z seems stronger as a pure air purifier, especially for smoke and odors, but it means buying a second device, using more space, having another source of noise, and paying extra for a separate humidifier.

In practice, which setup would you choose: an all-in-one purifier/humidifier like the MCK70ZW, or a stronger standalone purifier like the MC80Z paired with a separate evaporative humidifier?

Residence: Europe
Area: 20m² (215ft²).
Filtration: All (Allergies, VOC's, etc), but main focus is hookah smoke and its odors
Budget: ~$1K

Can't decide which combo to get:

  1. Daikin MCK70ZW - 2in1 air purifier and humidifier
  2. Daikin MC80Z + some humidifier like Philips HU5710/03 or MiJia Smart Evaporative Humidifier Pro

Both Daikin cost $1k and Philips/MiJia around $100-150

I understand that the Daikin MCK70ZW will easily cover my room size, so coverage itself is not really my concern.

The main reason I still hesitate is the water tank. Its capacity is only 3.4L, while some separate humidifiers like Philips or MiJia have 4.5 to 5L tanks. I am worried that with the Daikin I may need to refill the tank too often, especially in dry conditions during the heating season. I am also not sure how convenient it will be to keep refilling it regularly and cleaning the water tank and humidifying parts every week.

Another thing that makes me hesitate is that the MCK70ZW has about 100 CADR less than the Daikin MC80Z. So on one hand the MCK70ZW gives me an all in one solution with purification and humidification, but on the other hand the MC80Z seems stronger as a pure air purifier.

I am also a bit disappointed that the MCK70ZW does not seem to allow setting an exact target humidity percentage for automatic control. As far as I understand, it only offers low, standard, and high humidification levels instead of letting you maintain a precise humidity level such as 45% or 50%.

What do you think is the better choice in practice?

Would you still go for the MCK70ZW for the convenience of having everything in one unit, or is it more reasonable to buy the MC80Z and pair it with a separate humidifier with a larger tank?

Residence: Europe
Area: 25m² (270ft²).
Filtration: All (Allergies, VOC's, etc), but main focus is hookah smoke and its odors
Budget: ~$1K
