I will be in Singapore beginning of October. Is it worth going to Bali (Ubud) for 3 days or should we explore something close to Singapore?

Visiting Singapore for work and want to take advantage of the opportunity and explore the area. I was thinking of 4-5 days exploring Singapore and then 2-3 in more unique/nature/tropical setting. I've read that Bintan and other Riau islands are not worth it and Bali is overcrowded. Any recommendations?
